    Abstract The Traditional Inverse Analysis Method (TIAM) of sheet metal stamping has the shortcoming of neglecting the effects of deformation history on stress prediction. An Updated Inverse Analysis Method (UIAM) is proposed based on the final workpiece in Euler coordinate system. The UIAM uses the constitutive equation based on pseudo flow theory of plasticity to consider the loading history.     Abstract Three different kinds of nozzles, normally used in industrial processes for the cleaning of material surface by means of water jets at high pressure (a Cylindrical Contracting, a Taper Contracting and Stepped nozzle), are numerically simulated with the express intent to optimize the related efficiency (cleaning effectiveness).     Abstract This paper presents an overview of diverse extrusion techniques and, in particular, a focused discussion about the rheoextrusion process for semi-solid casting (a novel casting process for the fabrication of high quality metals). The review reveals a wealth of interesting rheological and microstructural features, illustrating qualitative and quantitative data.     Abstract In order to solve the problem of locating and protecting key processes and detecting outliers efficiently in complex industrial processes.
