    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.40, No.2, pp. 581-592, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.019175

Abstract Cloud computing is an Information Technology deployment model established on virtualization. Task scheduling states the set of rules for task allocations to an exact virtual machine in the cloud computing environment. However, task scheduling challenges such as optimal task scheduling performance solutions, are addressed in cloud computing. First, the cloud computing performance due to task scheduling is improved by proposing a Dynamic Weighted Round-Robin algorithm. This recommended DWRR algorithm improves the task scheduling performance by considering resource competencies, task priorities, and length. Second, a heuristic algorithm called Hybrid Particle Swarm Parallel Ant Colony Optimization is proposed to solve the task… More >

Abstract Every 24 seconds, someone dies on the road due to road accidents and it is the 8th leading cause of death and the first among children aged 15–29 years. 1.35 million people globally die every year due to road traffic crashes. An additional 20–50 million suffer from non-fatal injuries, often resulting in long-term disabilities. This costs around 3% of Gross Domestic Product to most countries, and it is a considerable economic loss. The governments have taken various measures such as better road infrastructures and strict enforcement of motor-vehicle laws to reduce these accidents. However, there is still no remarkable reduction… More >

    Abdul-Wahid A. Saif1, Mohammad Ataur-Rahman1, Sami Elferik1, Muhammad F. Mysorewala1, Mujahed Al-Dhaifallah1,*, Fouad Yacef2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.3, pp. 817-834, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.015932

Abstract In this paper, the formation control problem of a group of unmanned air vehicle (UAV) quadrotors is solved using the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) multi-model approach to linearize the nonlinear model of UAVs. The nonlinear model sof the quadrotor is linearized first around a set of operating points using Taylor series to get a set of local models. Our approach’s novelty is in considering the difference between the nonlinear model and the linearized ones as disturbance. Then, these linear models are interpolated using the fuzzy T–S approach to approximate the entire nonlinear model. Comparison of the nonlinear and the T–S model shows… More >
