    J. David García-Ortíz1, Rebeca González-Centeno1, María Alejandra Torres-Tapia2, J. A. Ascacio-Valdés1, José Espinoza-Velázquez2, Raúl Rodríguez-Herrera1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.5, pp. 929-941, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018368

Abstract Because of the growing worldwide demand for maize grain, new alternatives have been sought for breeding of this cereal, e.g., development of polyembryonic varieties, which agronomic performance could positively impact the grain yield per unit area, and nutritional quality. The objectives of this study were to (1) determine the phytochemicals present in the embryo and endosperm of grain from maize families with high, low, and null polyembryony frequency, which were planted at different locations, and (2) state the relationship between these compounds and seed germination. The extracted phytochemicals from corn were identified by HPLC-MS. The results showed that the genotype… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.3, pp. 5441-5457, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024545

Abstract This study presents a novel method to detect the medical application based on Quantum Computing (QC) and a few Machine Learning (ML) systems. QC has a primary advantage i.e., it uses the impact of quantum parallelism to provide the consequences of prime factorization issue in a matter of seconds. So, this model is suggested for medical application only by recent researchers. A novel strategy i.e., Quantum Kernel Method (QKM) is proposed in this paper for data prediction. In this QKM process, Linear Tunicate Swarm Algorithm (LTSA), the optimization technique is used to calculate the loss function initially and is aimed… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.1, pp. 299-313, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.017010

Abstract In this paper, an efficient multi-step scheme is presented based on reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS) theory for solving ordinary stiff differential systems. The solution methodology depends on reproducing kernel functions to obtain analytic solutions in a uniform form for a rapidly convergent series in the posed Sobolev space. Using the Gram-Schmidt orthogonality process, complete orthogonal essential functions are obtained in a compact field to encompass Fourier series expansion with the help of kernel properties reproduction. Consequently, by applying the standard RKHS method to each subinterval, approximate solutions that converge uniformly to the exact solutions are obtained. For this purpose,… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.1, pp. 651-666, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020820

Abstract This research article proposes an automatic frame work for detecting COVID -19 at the early stage using chest X-ray image. It is an undeniable fact that coronovirus is a serious disease but the early detection of the virus present in human bodies can save lives. In recent times, there are so many research solutions that have been presented for early detection, but there is still a lack in need of right and even rich technology for its early detection. The proposed deep learning model analysis the pixels of every image and adjudges the presence of virus. The classifier is designed… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.1, pp. 115-129, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.019133

Abstract Heart failure (HF) is an intercontinental pandemic influencing in any event 26 million individuals globally and is expanding in commonness. HF healthiness consumptions are extensive and will increment significantly with a maturing populace. As per the World Health Organization (WHO), Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the major reason for all-inclusive death, taking an expected 17.9 million lives per year. CVDs are a class of issues of the heart, blood vessels and include coronary heart sickness, cerebrovascular illness, rheumatic heart malady, and various other conditions. In the medical care industry, a lot of information is as often as possible created. Nonetheless, it… More >

Local-Tetra-Patterns for Face Recognition Encoded on Spatial Pyramid Matching

Khuram Nawaz Khayam1, Zahid Mehmood2,*, Hassan Nazeer Chaudhry3, Muhammad Usman Ashraf4, Usman Tariq5, Mohammed Nawaf Altouri6, Khalid Alsubhi7

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.3, pp. 5039-5058, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019975

Abstract Face recognition is a big challenge in the research field with a lot of problems like misalignment, illumination changes, pose variations, occlusion, and expressions. Providing a single solution to solve all these problems at a time is a challenging task. We have put some effort to provide a solution to solving all these issues by introducing a face recognition model based on local tetra patterns and spatial pyramid matching. The technique is based on a procedure where the input image is passed through an algorithm that extracts local features by using spatial pyramid matching and max-pooling. Finally, the input image… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 141-156, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020367

Abstract Predicting the power obtained at the output of the photovoltaic (PV) system is fundamental for the optimum use of the PV system. However, it varies at different times of the day depending on intermittent and nonlinear environmental conditions including solar irradiation, temperature and the wind speed, Short-term power prediction is vital in PV systems to reconcile generation and demand in terms of the cost and capacity of the reserve. In this study, a Gaussian kernel based Support Vector Regression (SVR) prediction model using multiple input variables is proposed for estimating the maximum power obtained from using perturb observation method in… More >

Image Manipulation Detection Through Laterally Linked Pixels and Kernel Algorithms

    K. K. Thyagharajan, G. Nirmala*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 357-371, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020258

Abstract In this paper, copy-move forgery in image is detected for single image with multiple manipulations such as blurring, noise addition, gray scale conversion, brightness modifications, rotation, Hu adjustment, color adjustment, contrast changes and JPEG Compression. However, traditional algorithms detect only copy-move attacks in image and never for different manipulation in single image. The proposed LLP (Laterally linked pixel) algorithm has two dimensional arrays and single layer is obtained through unit linking pulsed neural network for detection of copied region and kernel tricks is applied for detection of multiple manipulations in single forged image. LLP algorithm consists of two channels such… More >

Abstract Internet of things (IoT) field has emerged due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and communication technologies. The use of IoT technology in modern healthcare environments is convenient for doctors and patients as it can be used in real-time monitoring of patients, proper administration of patient information, and healthcare management. However, the usage of IoT in the healthcare domain will become a nightmare if patient information is not securely maintained while transferring over an insecure network or storing at the administrator end. In this manuscript, the authors have developed a secure IoT healthcare monitoring system using the Blockchain-based XOR… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.40, No.3, pp. 851-863, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.019298

Abstract Accurate cellular network traffic prediction is a crucial task to access Internet services for various devices at any time. With the use of mobile devices, communication services generate numerous data for every moment. Given the increasing dense population of data, traffic learning and prediction are the main components to substantially enhance the effectiveness of demand-aware resource allocation. A novel deep learning technique called radial kernelized LSTM-based connectionist Tversky multilayer deep structure learning (RKLSTM-CTMDSL) model is introduced for traffic prediction with superior accuracy and minimal time consumption. The RKLSTM-CTMDSL model performs attribute selection and classification processes for cellular traffic prediction. In… More >
