    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.3, pp. 2617-2648, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.023143

Abstract In this paper, we present the existence and uniqueness of fixed points and common fixed points for Reich and Chatterjea pairs of self-maps in complete metric spaces. Furthermore, we study fixed point theorems for Reich and Chatterjea nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space using the Krasnoselskii-Ishikawa iteration method associated with and consider some applications of our results to prove the existence of solutions for nonlinear integral and nonlinear fractional differential equations. We also establish certain interesting examples to illustrate the usability of our results. More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.3, pp. 2137-2153, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.022855

Abstract The nonlinearity in many problems occurs because of the complexity of the given physical phenomena. The present paper investigates the non-linear fractional partial differential equations’ solutions using the Caputo operator with Laplace residual power series method. It is found that the present technique has a direct and simple implementation to solve the targeted problems. The comparison of the obtained solutions has been done with actual solutions to the problems. The fractional-order solutions are presented and considered to be the focal point of this research article. The results of the proposed technique are highly accurate and provide useful information about the… More >

    S. Mohammed Ibrahim1, P. Vijaya Kumar2, G. Lorenzini3,*

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.4, pp. 855-868, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.019796

Abstract In this study, a radiative MHD stagnation point flow over a nonlinear stretching sheet incorporating thermophoresis and Brownian motion is considered. Using a similarity method to reshape the underlying Partial differential equations into a set of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), the implications of heat generation, and chemical reaction on the flow field are described in detail. Moreover a Homotopy analysis method (HAM) is used to interpret the related mechanisms. It is found that an increase in the magnetic and velocity exponent parameters can damp the fluid velocity, while thermophoresis and Brownian motion promote specific thermal effects. The results also demonstrate… More >

Abstract This study aims to solve the nonlinear fractional-order mathematical model (FOMM) by using the normal and dysregulated bone remodeling of the myeloma bone disease (MBD). For the more precise performance of the model, fractional-order derivatives have been used to solve the disease model numerically. The FOMM is preliminarily designed to focus on the critical interactions between bone resorption or osteoclasts (OC) and bone formation or osteoblasts (OB). The connections of OC and OB are represented by a nonlinear differential system based on the cellular components, which depict stable fluctuation in the usual bone case and unstable fluctuation through the MBD.… More >

Abstract The current investigations are presented to solve the fractional order HBV differential infection system (FO-HBV-DIS) with the response of antibody immune using the optimization based stochastic schemes of the Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation (LMB) neural networks (NNs), i.e., LMBNNs. The FO-HBV-DIS with the response of antibody immune is categorized into five dynamics, healthy hepatocytes (H), capsids (D), infected hepatocytes (I), free virus (V) and antibodies (W). The investigations for three different FO variants have been tested numerically to solve the nonlinear FO-HBV-DIS. The data magnitudes are implemented 75% for training, 10% for certification and 15% for testing to solve the FO-HBV-DIS with… More >

Existence of Approximate Solutions to Nonlinear Lorenz System under Caputo-Fabrizio Derivative

    Khursheed J. Ansari1, Mustafa Inc2,3,4,*, K. H. Mahmoud5,*, Eiman6

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.2, pp. 1669-1684, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.022971

Abstract In this article, we developed sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of an approximate solution to a nonlinear system of Lorenz equations under Caputo-Fabrizio fractional order derivative (CFFD). The required results about the existence and uniqueness of a solution are derived via the fixed point approach due to Banach and Krassnoselskii. Also, we enriched our work by establishing a stable result based on the Ulam-Hyers (U-H) concept. Also, the approximate solution is computed by using a hybrid method due to the Laplace transform and the Adomian decomposition method. We computed a few terms of the required solution through the… More >

Nonlinear Algebraic Equations Solved by an Optimal Splitting-Linearizing Iterative Method

    Chein-Shan Liu1, Essam R. El-Zahar2,3, Yung-Wei Chen4,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.2, pp. 1111-1130, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021655

Abstract How to accelerate the convergence speed and avoid computing the inversion of a Jacobian matrix is important in the solution of nonlinear algebraic equations (NAEs). This paper develops an approach with a splitting-linearizing technique based on the nonlinear term to reduce the effect of the nonlinear terms. We decompose the nonlinear terms in the NAEs through a splitting parameter and then linearize the NAEs around the values at the previous step to a linear system. Through the maximal orthogonal projection concept, to minimize a merit function within a selected interval of splitting parameters, the optimal parameters can be quickly determined.… More > Graphic Abstract

    Ahmed M. Elmogy1,2,*, Wael M. Elawady2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 385-400, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.032349

Abstract One of the great concerns when tackling nonlinear systems is how to design a robust controller that is able to deal with uncertainty. Many researchers have been working on developing such type of controllers. One of the most efficient techniques employed to develop such controllers is sliding mode control (SMC). However, the low order SMC suffers from chattering problem which harm the actuators of the control system and thus unsuitable to be used in many practical applications. In this paper, the drawbacks of low order traditional sliding mode control (FOTSMC) are resolved by presenting a novel adaptive radial basis function… More >
