    Harinakshi Karkeraa , Nagaraj N. Katagia,† , Ramesh B. Kudenattib

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.18, pp. 1-10, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.18.41

Abstract In this paper, we study the characteristics of laminar boundary-layer flow of a viscous incompressible fluid over a moving wedge. The transformed boundary-layer equation given by the Falkner-Skan equation is solved by an efficient easy-to-use approximate method based on uniform Haar wavelets in conjunction with quasilinearization and collocation approach. The residual and error estimates are computed to confirm the validity of the obtained results. A meaningful comparison between the present solutions with existing numerical results in the literature is carried out to highlight the benefits and efficiency of proposed method. Furthermore, the influence of variable pressure gradient and the wedge… More >

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.20, pp. 1-7, 2023, DOI:10.5098/hmt.20.15

Abstract In this study, numerical investigations are performed on a partially premixed flame of methane and air in two- and three-dimensional models. Nonlinear method is adopted to illustrate the asymmetric phenomenon that affects the flame stability under various co-flow velocities. According to the results, the mathematical relationship between the flame flickering frequency Stanton number and the dimensionless velocity Froude number has been summarized as St=0.7Fr-0.46. The bifurcation phenomena under different Reynold numbers are found to have significant influence on the system stability. Two critical bifurcation points, which is when Re=300 and Re=1200, are determined as the onset of breaking the flame… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.1, pp. 827-841, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.027344

Abstract The extraction of traveling wave solutions for nonlinear evolution equations is a challenge in various mathematics, physics, and engineering disciplines. This article intends to analyze several traveling wave solutions for the modified regularized long-wave (MRLW) equation using several approaches, namely, the generalized algebraic method, the Jacobian elliptic functions technique, and the improved Q-expansion strategy. We successfully obtain analytical solutions consisting of rational, trigonometric, and hyperbolic structures. The adaptive moving mesh technique is applied to approximate the numerical solution of the proposed equation. The adaptive moving mesh method evenly distributes the points on the high error areas. This method perfectly and… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.3, pp. 3491-3508, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.029165

Abstract Suspicious mass traffic constantly evolves, making network behaviour tracing and structure more complex. Neural networks yield promising results by considering a sufficient number of processing elements with strong interconnections between them. They offer efficient computational Hopfield neural networks models and optimization constraints used by undergoing a good amount of parallelism to yield optimal results. Artificial neural network (ANN) offers optimal solutions in classifying and clustering the various reels of data, and the results obtained purely depend on identifying a problem. In this research work, the design of optimized applications is presented in an organized manner. In addition, this research work… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 3011-3026, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037516

Abstract A substitution box (S-Box) is a crucial component of contemporary cryptosystems that provide data protection in block ciphers. At the moment, chaotic maps are being created and extensively used to generate these S-Boxes as a chaotic map assists in providing disorder and resistance to combat cryptanalytical attempts. In this paper, the construction of a dynamic S-Box using a cipher key is proposed using a novel chaotic map and an innovative tweaking approach. The projected chaotic map and the proposed tweak approach are presented for the first time and the use of parameters in their working makes both of these dynamic… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.3, pp. 3565-3581, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.036601

Abstract Hydraulic servo system plays an important role in industrial fields due to the advantages of high response, small size-to-power ratio and large driving force. However, inherent nonlinear behaviors and modeling uncertainties are the main obstacles for hydraulic servo system to achieve high tracking performance. To deal with these difficulties, this paper presents a backstepping sliding mode controller to improve the dynamic tracking performance and anti-interference ability. For this purpose, the nonlinear dynamic model is firstly established, where the nonlinear behaviors and modeling uncertainties are lumped as one term. Then, the extended state observer is introduced to estimate the lumped disturbance.… More >

A Study on the Nonlinear Caputo-Type Snakebite Envenoming Model with Memory

    Pushpendra Kumar1,*, Vedat Suat Erturk2, V. Govindaraj1, Dumitru Baleanu3,4,5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2487-2506, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.026009

Abstract In this article, we introduce a nonlinear Caputo-type snakebite envenoming model with memory. The well-known Caputo fractional derivative is used to generalize the previously presented integer-order model into a fractional-order sense. The numerical solution of the model is derived from a novel implementation of a finite-difference predictor-corrector (L1-PC) scheme with error estimation and stability analysis. The proof of the existence and positivity of the solution is given by using the fixed point theory. From the necessary simulations, we justify that the first-time implementation of the proposed method on an epidemic model shows that the scheme is fully suitable and time-efficient… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.2, pp. 1687-1706, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025647

Abstract In this work, the exponential approximation is used for the numerical simulation of a nonlinear SITR model as a system of differential equations that shows the dynamics of the new coronavirus (COVID-19). The SITR mathematical model is divided into four classes using fractal parameters for COVID-19 dynamics, namely, susceptible (S), infected (I), treatment (T), and recovered (R). The main idea of the presented method is based on the matrix representations of the exponential functions and their derivatives using collocation points. To indicate the usefulness of this method, we employ it in some cases. For error analysis of the method, the… More > Graphic Abstract
