IECC-SAIN: Innovative ECC-Based Approach for Secure Authentication in IoT Networks

    Younes Lahraoui1, Jihane Jebrane2, Youssef Amal1, Saiida Lazaar1, Cheng-Chi Lee3,4,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.144, No.1, pp. 615-641, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2025.067778 - 31 July 2025

Abstract Due to their resource constraints, Internet of Things (IoT) devices require authentication mechanisms that are both secure and efficient. Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) meets these needs by providing strong security with shorter key lengths, which significantly reduces the computational overhead required for authentication algorithms. This paper introduces a novel ECC-based IoT authentication system utilizing our previously proposed efficient mapping and reverse mapping operations on elliptic curves over prime fields. By reducing reliance on costly point multiplication, the proposed algorithm significantly improves execution time, storage requirements, and communication cost across varying security levels. The proposed authentication… More >

Constructing Representative Collective Signature Protocols Using The GOST R34.10-1994 Standard

    Tuan Nguyen Kim1,*, Duy Ho Ngoc2, Nikolay A. Moldovyan3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 1475-1491, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.029253 - 22 September 2022

Abstract The representative collective digital signature, which was suggested by us, is built based on combining the advantages of group digital signature and collective digital signature. This collective digital signature schema helps to create a unique digital signature that deputizes a collective of people representing different groups of signers and may also include personal signers. The advantage of the proposed collective signature is that it can be built based on most of the well-known difficult problems such as the factor analysis, the discrete logarithm and finding modulo roots of large prime numbers and the current digital… More >

Optimal Decision-Making of Trans-Provincial Electricity Market Subjects with Risks under Renewable Portfolio Standards

Hui Wang, Yishu Chen*, Zichao Wu, Haocheng Xu

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.3, pp. 1141-1167, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.016151 - 31 March 2022

    Abstract

The randomness and uncertainty of renewable energy generation are expected to significantly change the optimal decision-making of trans-provincial electricity market subjects. Therefore, it is beneficial to optimize the interests of each of these subjects, considering the unpredictable risks of renewable energy under the renewable portfolio standards (RPS) and researching their effects on the optimal decision-making of trans-provincial electricity market multi-subjects. First, we develop a trans-provincial trading market mechanism for renewable energy and clarify the electricity supply and demand relation and the green certificates supply and demand relation of trans-provincial electricity market multi-subjects. Then, under the

Optimal Trading Decision-Making of Power Supply Chain under Renewable Portfolio Standards

Hui Wang, Haocheng Xu*, Wenhui Zhao

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.5, pp. 1375-1394, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.014641 - 16 July 2021

Abstract Under the background of implementing renewable portfolio standards and the ever-improving tradable green certificate scheme, the increasingly environmentally-friendly preference of power users is leading to changes in electricity demand, which, in turn, is driving changes in the decision-making behaviors of various actors in the power supply chain. Based on this, with the goal of pursuing maximum profit, consumer-power-demand functions have been introduced with some consideration of the factors of consumer preference to establish an optimal profit model for each trading subject in non-cooperative states of the power supply chain, under the constraints of meeting renewable More >

Behaviours of Multi-Stakeholders under China’s Renewable Portfolio Standards: A Game Theory-Based Analysis

    Bing Wang1,2, Kailei Deng1, Liting He1, Zhenming Sun1,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.5, pp. 1333-1351, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.014258 - 16 July 2021

Abstract China has implemented both quantitative and policy incentives for renewable energy development since 2019 and is currently in the policy transition stage. The implementation of renewable portfolio standards (RPSs) is difficult due to the interests of multiple stakeholders, including power generation enterprises, power grid companies, power users, local governments, and the central government. Based on China’s RPS policy and power system reform documents, this research sorted out the core game decision problems of China’s renewable energy industry and established a conceptual game decision model of the renewable energy industry from the perspective of local governments,… More >

General Steganalysis Method of Compressed Speech Under Different Standards

    Peng Liu1, Songbin Li1,*, Qiandong Yan1, Jingang Wang1, Cheng Zhang2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.2, pp. 1565-1574, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016635 - 13 April 2021

Abstract Analysis-by-synthesis linear predictive coding (AbS-LPC) is widely used in a variety of low-bit-rate speech codecs. Most of the current steganalysis methods for AbS-LPC low-bit-rate compressed speech steganography are specifically designed for a specific coding standard or category of steganography methods, and thus lack generalization capability. In this paper, a general steganalysis method for detecting steganographies in low-bit-rate compressed speech under different standards is proposed. First, the code-element matrices corresponding to different coding standards are concatenated to obtain a synthetic code-element matrix, which will be mapped into an intermediate feature representation by utilizing the pre-trained dictionaries. Gain-Enhanced Metamaterial Based Antenna for 5G Communication Standards

    Daniyal Ali Sehrai1, Fazal Muhammad1, Saad Hassan Kiani1, Ziaul Haq Abbas2, Muhammad Tufail3, Sunghwan Kim4, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.3, pp. 1587-1599, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011057 - 30 June 2020

Abstract Metamaterial surfaces play a vital role to achieve the surface waves suppression and in-phase reflection, in order to improve the antenna performance. In this paper, the performance comparison of a fifth generation (5G) antenna design is analyzed and compared with a metamaterial-based antenna for 5G communication system applications. Metamaterial surface is utilized as a reflector due to its in-phase reflection characteristic and high-impedance nature to improve the gain of an antenna. As conventional conducting ground plane does not give enough surface waves suppression which affects the antenna performance in terms of efficiency and gain etc.… More >

Abstract Noise pollution is one of the major public health problems in urban areas throughout the world. Noise is unwanted sound which produces undesirable problems in day to day life of human being (e.g., physiological and psychological problems). Rapid increase of the industrialization, urbanization, infrastructure, volume of motor vehicles, and increase in the road networks brought noise pollution to the highest level of disaster in a current situation. In urban areas, road traffic noise plays commanding role among all noise sources and affects the exposed inhabitants. The present work is done to evaluate and assess the… More >
