    Oncology Research, Vol.30, No.3, pp. 137-155, 2022, DOI:10.32604/or.2022.026074

Abstract Prostate cancer is one of the most often diagnosed malignancies in males and its prevalence is rising in both developed and developing countries. Androgen deprivation therapy has been used as a standard treatment approach for advanced prostate cancer for more than 80 years. The primary aim of androgen deprivation therapy is to decrease circulatory androgen and block androgen signaling. Although a partly remediation is accomplished at the beginning of treatment, some cell populations become refractory to androgen deprivation therapy and continue to metastasize. Recent evidences suggest that androgen deprivation therapy may cause cadherin switching, from E-cadherin to N-cadherin, which is… More >

Xiangfei Li, Yang Yin, Yang Zhou, Wenchang Liu, Kaihui Zhao*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.2, pp. 277-297, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.022461

Abstract This paper presents a novel non-singular fast terminal sliding mode control (NFTSMC) based on the deep flux weakening switching point tracking method in order to improve the control performance of permanent interior magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drive systems. The mathematical model of flux weakening (FW) control is established, and the deep flux weakening switching point is calculated accurately by analyzing the relationship between the torque curve and voltage decline curve. Next, a second-order NFTSMC is designed for the speed loop controller to ensure that the system converges to the equilibrium state in finite time. Then, an extended sliding mode disturbance… More > Graphic Abstract

High Linear Voltage Gain in QZNC Through Synchronizing Switching Circuits

    S. Harika1,*, R. Seyezhai1, A. Jawahar2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 895-910, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.031829

Abstract The solar powered systems require high step-up converter for efficient energy transfer. For this, quasi-impedance network converter has been introduced. The quasi-impedance network converter (QZNC) is of two types: type-1 and type-2 configuration. Both the type-1 and type-2 QZNC configurations have drooping voltage gain profile due to presence of high switching noise. To overcome this, a new quasi-impedance network converter synchronizing the switching circuit with low frequency noise has been proposed. In this paper, the proposed QZNC configuration utilizes the current controlling diode to prevent the output voltage drop. Thus, the suggested topology provides linear high voltage gain profile, low… More >

Genetic Algorithm Based 7-Level Step-Up Inverter with Reduced Harmonics and Switching Devices

    T. Anand Kumar1,*, M. Kaliamoorthy1, I. Gerald Christopher Raj2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 3081-3097, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.028769

Abstract This paper presents a unique voltage-raising topology for a single-phase seven-level inverter with triple output voltage gain using single input source and two switched capacitors. The output voltage has been boosted up to three times the value of input voltage by configuring the switched capacitors in series and parallel combinations which eliminates the use of additional step-up converters and transformers. The selective harmonic elimination (SHE) approach is used to remove the lower-order harmonics. The optimal switching angles for SHE is determined using the genetic algorithm. These switching angles are combined with a level-shifted pulse width modulation (PWM) technique for pulse… More >

Improved Dual-image Quality with Reversible Data Hiding Using Translocation and Switching Strategy

    Chin-Feng Lee, Kuo-Chung Chan*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1551-1566, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026294

Abstract Dual-image reversible data hiding (RDH) is a technique for hiding important messages. This technology can be used to safely deliver secret messages to the recipient through dual images in an open network without being easily noticed. The recipient of the image must receive the two stego-images before the secret message can be completely retrieved. Imperceptibility is one of the main advantages of data hiding technology; to increase the imperceptibility, the quality requirements of the stego-images are relatively important. A dual steganographic image RDH method, called a DS-CF scheme that can achieve a better steganographic image quality using the center folding… More >
