    Sarika R. Khope1, Susan Elias2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 2333-2350, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029423

Abstract Machine learning has proven to be one of the efficient solutions for analyzing complex data to perform identification and classification. With a large number of learning tools and techniques, the health section has significantly benefited from solving the diagnosis problems. This paper has reviewed some of the recent scientific implementations on learning-based schemes to find that existing studies of learning have mainly focused on predictive analysis with less emphasis on preprocessing and more inclination towards adopting sophisticated learning schemes that offer higher accuracy at the cost of the higher computational burden. Therefore, the proposed method addresses the concern mentioned above… More >

Abstract Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is an intelligent vehicular technology that allows vehicles to communicate with each other via internet. Communications and the Internet of Things (IoT) enable cutting-edge technologies including such self-driving cars. In the existing systems, there is a maximum communication delay while transmitting the messages. The proposed system uses hybrid Co-operative, Vehicular Communication Management Framework called CAMINO (CA). Further it uses, energy efficient fast message routing protocol with Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) methodology for improving the communication delay, throughput. It improves security while transmitting the messages through networks. In this research, we present a unique intelligent vehicular… More >

Thermodynamic Investigation of a Solar Energy Cogeneration Plant Using an Organic Rankine Cycle in Supercritical Conditions

    Larbi Afif*, Nahla Bouaziz

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.5, pp. 1243-1251, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.021831

Abstract In the present work, a novel Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) configuration is used for a low-grade heat source cogeneration plant. An investigation is conducted accordingly into the simultaneous production of electricity and cold. The proposed configuration relies on concentrated solar power (as heat source) and ambient air (for cooling). Furthermore, two gas ejectors are added to the system in order to optimize the thermodynamic efficiency of the organic Rankine cycle. The results show that the thermodynamic and geometric parameters related to these ejectors have an important effect on the overall system performances. In order to account for the related environmental… More >

    Liang Xie1,2,5, Peihao Peng1,*, Haijun Wang1,3, Shengbin Chen4

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.9, pp. 2069-2086, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018807

Abstract Identifying the ecological environment suitable for the growth of Thuja sutchuenensis and predicting other potential distribution areas are essential to protect this endangered species. After selecting 24 environmental factors that could affect the distribution of T. sutchuenensis, including climate, topography, soil and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), we adopted the Random Forest-MaxEnt integrated model to analyze our data. Based on the Random Forest study, the contribution of the mean temperature of the warmest quarter, mean temperature of the coldest quarter, annual mean temperature and mean temperature of the driest quarter was large. Based on MaxEnt model prediction outputs, the potential… More >

    MARCO TATULLO1,*, LUISA LIMONGELLI2, ROSA MARIA MARANO3, ALESSANDRA VALLETTA4, ANGELA TEMPESTA2, SANDRO RENGO4

    BIOCELL, Vol.46, No.8, pp. 1837-1842, 2022, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2022.020570

Abstract The scientific community is continuously working to translate the novel biomedical techniques into effective medical treatments. CRISPR-Cas 9 system (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats-9), commonly known as the “molecular scissor”, represents a recently developed biotechnology able to improve the quality and the efficacy of traditional treatments, related to several human diseases, such as chronic diseases, neurodegenerative pathologies and, interestingly, oral diseases. Of course, dental medicine has notably increased the use of biotechnologies to ensure modern and conservative approaches: in this landscape, the use of CRISPR-Cas-9 system may speed and personalize the traditional therapies, ensuring a good predictability of clinical… More >

A New Proximity Indicator for Assessment of Voltage Stability and Critical Loadability Point

    Chandrakant Dondariya*, D. K. Sakravdia

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.3, pp. 947-963, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.019118

Abstract This paper presents a newly developed proximity indicator for voltage stability assessment which can be used to predict critical real system load and voltages at various load buses at critical loading point. The proximity indicator varies almost parabolic with total real load demand and reaches orthogonally to real load axis. This relation has been utilized to predict critical loading point. It has been shown that two operating points are needed for estimating critical point and proper selection of operating points and variation of proximity indicator near collapse point highly affect the accuracy of estimation. Simulation is based on load flow… More >

    Meenu Chaudhary1, Loveleen Gaur1, NZ Jhanjhi2,*, Mehedi Masud3, Sultan Aljahdali3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 1009-1024, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023417

Abstract Employee categorisation differentiates valuable employees as eighty per cent of profit comes from twenty per cent of employees. Also, retention of all employees is quite challenging and incur a cost. Previous studies have focused on employee churn analysis using various machine learning algorithms but have missed the categorisation of an employee based on accomplishments. This paper provides an approach of categorising employees to quantify the importance of the employees using multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) techniques, i.e., criteria importance through inter-criteria correlation (CRITIC) to assign relative weights to employee accomplishments and fuzzy Measurement Alternatives and Ranking according to the Compromise Solution… More >
