    Abstract Chemotherapy is widely used for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients at a late stage; however, NSCLC patients often acquire resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs, thus limiting the therapy efficacy. Melittin, a major component of bee venom, possesses anti-tumor activity in various cancer cells. Here, we examined the effects of melittin on A549/DDP cisplatin-resistant lung adenocarcinoma cells and xenografts formed from this cell line and investigated the possible target of melittin.     Abstract We describe the most frequent malignant intraocular tumors, conjunctival tumors and some lids and orbital tumors. Primary intraocular malignant tumors are retinoblastoma in children and uveal melanoma in adults. For uveal melanoma, the liver is the most frequent site of metastasis and this is why it is justified to prescribe liver ultrasonography every 6 months to these patients.     Abstract This study aimed to explore the expression and diagnostic performance of miR-586 and miR-493 in patients with osteosarcoma. We enrolled 63 patients with osteosarcoma treated between May 2016 and May 2019 as the experimental group and 55 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination during the same period as the control group.     Abstract 2-Methoxyestradiol-bis-sulphamate is a bis-sulphamoylated derivative of the naturally occurring 17-beta-estradiol metabolite namely 2-methoxyestradiol. 2-Methoxyestradiol-bis-sulphamate is regarded as a potential anticancer drug with increased antiproliferative activity when compared to 2-methoxyestradiol. The aim of this pilot in vitro study was to determine the influence of 2-methoxyestradiol-bis-sulphamate on cell growth, morphology and possible induction of certain types of cell death in the SNO esophageal carcinoma cell line. A dose-dependent study (0.2-1.0μM) was conducted with an exposure time of 24 hours.
