    Eugene Tan Boon Hong1, Yung-Wey Chong1,*, Tat-Chee Wan1, Kok-Lim Alvin Yau2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.2, pp. 2337-2354, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.038695

Abstract The existing dataset for visual dialog comprises multiple rounds of questions and a diverse range of image contents. However, it faces challenges in overcoming visual semantic limitations, particularly in obtaining sufficient context from visual and textual aspects of images. This paper proposes a new visual dialog dataset called Diverse History-Dialog (DS-Dialog) to address the visual semantic limitations faced by the existing dataset. DS-Dialog groups relevant histories based on their respective Microsoft Common Objects in Context (MSCOCO) image categories and consolidates them for each image. Specifically, each MSCOCO image category consists of top relevant histories extracted… More >

    Anas Bilal1,*, Xiaowen Liu1, Haixia Long1,*, Muhammad Shafiq2, Muhammad Waqar3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.2, pp. 2401-2426, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037857

Abstract Farming is cultivating the soil, producing crops, and keeping livestock. The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in a country’s economic growth. This research proposes a two-stage machine learning framework for agriculture to improve efficiency and increase crop yield. In the first stage, machine learning algorithms generate data for extensive and far-flung agricultural areas and forecast crops. The recommended crops are based on various factors such as weather conditions, soil analysis, and the amount of fertilizers and pesticides required. In the second stage, a transfer learning-based model for plant seedlings, pests, and plant leaf disease More >

    Mohd Anul Haq1,*, Siwar Ben Hadj Hassine2, Sharaf J. Malebary3, Hakeem A. Othman4, Elsayed M. Tag-Eldin5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.2, pp. 2689-2705, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.039904

Abstract Hyperspectral images can easily discriminate different materials due to their fine spectral resolution. However, obtaining a hyperspectral image (HSI) with a high spatial resolution is still a challenge as we are limited by the high computing requirements. The spatial resolution of HSI can be enhanced by utilizing Deep Learning (DL) based Super-resolution (SR). A 3D-CNNHSR model is developed in the present investigation for 3D spatial super-resolution for HSI, without losing the spectral content. The 3D-CNNHSR model was tested for the Hyperion HSI. The pre-processing of the HSI was done before applying the SR model so… More >

    T. Satyanarayana Murthy1, Kollati Vijaya Kumar2, Fayadh Alenezi3, E. Laxmi Lydia4, Gi-Cheon Park5, Hyoung-Kyu Song6, Gyanendra Prasad Joshi7, Hyeonjoon Moon7,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.2, pp. 1633-1650, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.034769

Abstract Fruit classification utilizing a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) is the most promising application in personal computer vision (CV). Profound learning-related characterization made it possible to recognize fruits from pictures. But, due to the similarity and complexity, fruit recognition becomes an issue for the stacked fruits on a weighing scale. Recently, Machine Learning (ML) methods have been used in fruit farming and agriculture and brought great convenience to human life. An automated system related to ML could perform the fruit classifier and sorting tasks previously managed by human experts. CNN’s (convolutional neural networks) have attained… More >

Atrous Convolution-Based Residual Deep CNN for Image Dehazing with Spider Monkey–Particle Swarm Optimization

CH. Mohan Sai Kumar*, R. S. Valarmathi

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.37, No.2, pp. 1711-1728, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.038113

Abstract Image dehazing is a rapidly progressing research concept to enhance image contrast and resolution in computer vision applications. Owing to severe air dispersion, fog, and haze over the environment, hazy images pose specific challenges during information retrieval. With the advances in the learning theory, most of the learning-based techniques, in particular, deep neural networks are used for single-image dehazing. The existing approaches are extremely computationally complex, and the dehazed images are suffered from color distortion caused by the over-saturation and pseudo-shadow phenomenon. However, the slow convergence rate during training and haze residual is the two… More >

Towards Sustainable Agricultural Systems: A Lightweight Deep Learning Model for Plant Disease Detection

    Sana Parez1, Naqqash Dilshad2, Turki M. Alanazi3, Jong Weon Lee1,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.1, pp. 515-536, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.037992

Abstract A country’s economy heavily depends on agricultural development. However, due to several plant diseases, crop growth rate and quality are highly suffered. Accurate identification of these diseases via a manual procedure is very challenging and time-consuming because of the deficiency of domain experts and low-contrast information. Therefore, the agricultural management system is searching for an automatic early disease detection technique. To this end, an efficient and lightweight Deep Learning (DL)-based framework (E-GreenNet) is proposed to overcome these problems and precisely classify the various diseases. In the end-to-end architecture, a MobileNetV3Small model is utilized as a… More >
