Abstract In this manuscript, we conveniently prepared a series of polyester-polycarbonate copolymer (PPC-P)/polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) blends that exhibit both flame-retardant properties and toughness. Piperazine pyrophosphate (PAPP), melamine phosphate (MPP) and ZnO were used as synergistic flame retardants for PPC-P/PBAT blends. The effects of synergistic flame retardants on thermal stability, combustion behavior and flame retardancy of PPC-P/PBAT blends were investigated. The results showed that when the ratio of PAPP/MPP/ZnO was 18.4:9.2:2.4, the LOI of PPC-P/PBAT composite was 42.8%, and UL-94 reached V-0 level. The results of cone calorimetry showed that the mass loss rate (MLR), the… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.82, No.3, pp. 4913-4930, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.059770 - 06 March 2025

Abstract The surge of large-scale models in recent years has led to breakthroughs in numerous fields, but it has also introduced higher computational costs and more complex network architectures. These increasingly large and intricate networks pose challenges for deployment and execution while also exacerbating the issue of network over-parameterization. To address this issue, various network compression techniques have been developed, such as network pruning. A typical pruning algorithm follows a three-step pipeline involving training, pruning, and retraining. Existing methods often directly set the pruned filters to zero during retraining, significantly reducing the parameter space. However, this… More >

    Valentina Spanic1,*, Zvonimir Lalic2, Ivica Berakovic1, Luka Drenjancevic2, Goran Jukic2, Ivan Varnica2

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.94, No.2, pp. 317-330, 2025, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2025.058201 - 06 March 2025

Abstract Enhanced grain yield is achieved in barley by developing varieties incorporating grain yield-related and morphological traits derived from different varieties. The evaluation of 28 morphological characteristics of 422 barley varieties was carried out to assess their changes over time from 1973 to 2023. Most barley yield improvement seems to have been achieved by changes in morphological traits where modern varieties out-yielded older varieties for more than 30% (from 1973 to 2023). According to the Pareto chart, the length of the first segment of the rachis was found to be the most important parameter that changed… More >

Abstract Due to the numerous variables to take into account as well as the inherent ambiguity and uncertainty, evaluating educational institutions can be difficult. The concept of a possibility Pythagorean fuzzy hypersoft set (pPyFHSS) is more flexible in this regard than other theoretical fuzzy set-like models, even though some attempts have been made in the literature to address such uncertainties. This study investigates the elementary notions of pPyFHSS including its set-theoretic operations union, intersection, complement, OR- and AND-operations. Some results related to these operations are also modified for pPyFHSS. Additionally, the similarity measures between pPyFHSSs are More >
