    Weiya Shi1,*, Shaowen Zhang2, Shiqiang Zhang2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.139, No.3, pp. 3209-3231, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.044863

Abstract In recent years, there has been extensive research on object detection methods applied to optical remote sensing images utilizing convolutional neural networks. Despite these efforts, the detection of small objects in remote sensing remains a formidable challenge. The deep network structure will bring about the loss of object features, resulting in the loss of object features and the near elimination of some subtle features associated with small objects in deep layers. Additionally, the features of small objects are susceptible to interference from background features contained within the image, leading to a decline in detection accuracy. Moreover, the sensitivity of small… More >

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.26, No.2, pp. 117-126, 2024, DOI:10.32604/ijmhp.2023.045819

Abstract Contingent self-esteem captures the fragile nature of self-esteem and is often regarded as suboptimal to psychological functioning. Self-compassion is another important self-related concept assumed to promote mental health and well-being. However, research on the relation of self-compassion to contingent self-esteem is lacking. Two studies were conducted to explore the role of self-compassion, either as a personal characteristic or an induced mindset, in influencing the effects of contingent self-esteem on well-being. Study 1 recruited 256 Chinese college students (30.4% male, mean age = 21.72 years) who filled out measures of contingent self-esteem, self-compassion, and well-being. The results found that self-compassion moderated… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.2, pp. 1881-1895, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.047243

Abstract First, we propose a cross-domain authentication architecture based on trust evaluation mechanism, including registration, certificate issuance, and cross-domain authentication processes. A direct trust evaluation mechanism based on the time decay factor is proposed, taking into account the influence of historical interaction records. We weight the time attenuation factor to each historical interaction record for updating and got the new historical record data. We refer to the beta distribution to enhance the flexibility and adaptability of the direct trust assessment model to better capture time trends in the historical record. Then we propose an autoencoder-based trust clustering algorithm. We perform feature… More >

Abstract The precise and automatic segmentation of prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images is vital for assisting doctors in diagnosing prostate diseases. In recent years, many advanced methods have been applied to prostate segmentation, but due to the variability caused by prostate diseases, automatic segmentation of the prostate presents significant challenges. In this paper, we propose an attention-guided multi-scale feature fusion network (AGMSF-Net) to segment prostate MRI images. We propose an attention mechanism for extracting multi-scale features, and introduce a 3D transformer module to enhance global feature representation by adding it during the transition phase from encoder to decoder. Abstract Due to the rapid advancements in network technology, blockchain is being employed for distributed data storage. In the Internet of Things (IoT) scenario, different participants manage multiple blockchains located in different trust domains, which has resulted in the extensive development of cross-domain authentication techniques. However, the emergence of many attackers equipped with quantum computers has the potential to launch quantum computing attacks against cross-domain authentication schemes based on traditional cryptography, posing a significant security threat. In response to the aforementioned challenges, our paper demonstrates a post-quantum cross-domain identity authentication scheme to negotiate the session key used in the cross-chain asset… More >

Cross-Project Software Defect Prediction Based on SMOTE and Deep Canonical Correlation Analysis

    Xin Fan1,2, Shuqing Zhang1,2,*, Kaisheng Wu1,2, Wei Zheng1,2, Yu Ge1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.2, pp. 1687-1711, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.046187

Abstract Cross-Project Defect Prediction (CPDP) is a method that utilizes historical data from other source projects to train predictive models for defect prediction in the target project. However, existing CPDP methods only consider linear correlations between features (indicators) of the source and target projects. These models are not capable of evaluating non-linear correlations between features when they exist, for example, when there are differences in data distributions between the source and target projects. As a result, the performance of such CPDP models is compromised. In this paper, this paper proposes a novel CPDP method based on Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE)… More >
