    Fei Zeng1, Zhinong Wei1, Haiteng Han1,*, Yang Chen2

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.5, pp. 1067-1080, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.022479

Abstract A blockchain-based power transaction method is proposed for Active Distribution Network (ADN), considering the poor security and high cost of a centralized power trading system. Firstly, the decentralized blockchain structure of the ADN power transaction is built and the transaction information is kept in blocks. Secondly, considering the transaction needs between users and power suppliers in ADN, an energy request mechanism is proposed, and the optimization objective function is designed by integrating cost aware requests and storage aware requests. Finally, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used for multi-objective optimal search to find the power trading scheme with the minimum… More >

    Lei Xing1, Yakui Liu2,3,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.4, pp. 1023-1043, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.025335

Abstract The optimal allocation of integrated energy system capacity based on the heuristic algorithms can reduce economic costs and achieve maximum consumption of renewable energy, which has attracted many attentions. However, the optimization results of heuristic algorithms are usually influenced by the choice of hyperparameters. To solve the above problem, the particle swarm algorithm is introduced to find the optimal hyperparameters of the heuristic algorithms. Firstly, an integrated energy system consisting of the photovoltaic, wind turbine, electrolysis cell, hydrogen storage tank, and energy storage is established. Meanwhile, the minimum economic cost, the maximum wind and PV power consumption rate, and the… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 2527-2542, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.036106

Abstract In this current century, most industries are moving towards automation, where human intervention is dramatically reduced. This revolution leads to industrial revolution 4.0, which uses the Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless sensor networks (WSN). With its associated applications, this IoT device is used to compute the received WSN data from devices and transfer it to remote locations for assistance. In general, WSNs, the gateways are a long distance from the base station (BS) and are communicated through the gateways nearer to the BS. At the gateway, which is closer to the BS, energy drains faster because of the heavy… More >

    S. Kavi Priya*, N. Saranya

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 2571-2587, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031761

Abstract Around the globe, chronic diseases pose a serious hazard to healthcare communities. The majority of the deaths are due to chronic diseases, and it causes burdens across the world. Through analyzing healthcare data and extracting patterns healthcare administrators, victims, and healthcare communities will get an advantage if the diseases are early predicted. The majority of the existing works focused on increasing the accuracy of the techniques but didn’t concentrate on other performance measures. Thus, the proposed work improves the early detection of chronic disease and safeguards the lives of the patients by increasing the specificity and sensitivity of the classifiers… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 1371-1383, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.030232

Abstract Internet of things (IoT) and cloud computing (CC) becomes widespread in different application domains such as business, e-commerce, healthcare, etc. The recent developments of IoT technology have led to an increase in large amounts of data from various sources. In IoT enabled cloud environment, load scheduling remains a challenging process which is applied for ensuring network stability with maximum resource utilization. The load scheduling problem was regarded as an optimization problem that is solved by metaheuristics. In this view, this study develops a new Circle Chaotic Chameleon Swarm Optimization based Load Scheduling (C3SOA-LS) technique for IoT enabled cloud environment. The… More >

Application of Physical Unclonable Function for Lightweight Authentication in Internet of Things

    Ahmad O. Aseeri1, Sajjad Hussain Chauhdary2,*, Mohammed Saeed Alkatheiri3, Mohammed A. Alqarni4, Yu Zhuang5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 1901-1918, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.028777

Abstract IoT devices rely on authentication mechanisms to render secure message exchange. During data transmission, scalability, data integrity, and processing time have been considered challenging aspects for a system constituted by IoT devices. The application of physical unclonable functions (PUFs) ensures secure data transmission among the internet of things (IoT) devices in a simplified network with an efficient time-stamped agreement. This paper proposes a secure, lightweight, cost-efficient reinforcement machine learning framework (SLCR-MLF) to achieve decentralization and security, thus enabling scalability, data integrity, and optimized processing time in IoT devices. PUF has been integrated into SLCR-MLF to improve the security of the… More >

    Zhonghai Jiang1, Qian Wang1, Liangbing Zhou2,*, Chun Xiao3

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.6, pp. 1693-1708, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2023.025270

Abstract A two-layer implicit difference scheme is employed in the present study to determine the temperature distribution in an asphalt pavement. The calculation of each layer only needs four iterations to achieve convergence. Furthermore, in order to improve the calculation accuracy a swarm intelligence optimization algorithm is also exploited to inversely analyze the laws by which the thermal physical parameters of the asphalt pavement materials change with temperature. Using the basic cuckoo and the gray wolf algorithms, an adaptive hybrid optimization algorithm is obtained and used to determine the relationship between the thermal diffusivity of two types of asphalt pavement materials… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 421-445, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.024133

Abstract To better improve the lightweight and fatigue durability performance of the tractor cab, a multi-objective lightweight design of the cab was carried out in this study. First, the finite element model of the cab with counterweight loading was established and then confirmed by the physical testing, and use the inertial relief method to obtain stress distribution under unit load. The cab-frame rigid-flexible coupling multi-body dynamics model was built by Adams/car software. Taking the cab airbag mount displacement and acceleration signals acquired on the proving ground as the desired signals and obtaining the fatigue analysis load spectrum through Femfat-Lab virtual iteration.… More > Graphic Abstract

Yu Zhang, Zhihua Xiong*, Zhuoxi Liang, Jiachen She, Chicheng Ma

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 447-469, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.022699

Abstract A huge number of old arch bridges located in rural regions are at the peak of maintenance. The health monitoring technology of the long-span bridge is hardly applicable to the small-span bridge, owing to the absence of technical resources and sufficient funds in rural regions. There is an urgent need for an economical, fast, and accurate damage identification solution. The authors proposed a damage identification system of an old arch bridge implemented with a machine learning algorithm, which took the vehicle-induced response as the excitation. A damage index was defined based on wavelet packet theory, and a machine learning sample… More >
