    S. Satham Hussain1, G. Muhiuddin2,*, N. Durga3, D. Al-Kadi4

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.1, pp. 559-580, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.017032 - 29 November 2021

Abstract The partition of indeterminacy function of the neutrosophic set into the contradiction part and the ignorance part represent the quadripartitioned single valued neutrosophic set. In this work, the new concept of quadripartitioned bipolar single valued neutrosophic graph is established, and the operations on it are studied. The Cartesian product, cross product, lexicographic product, strong product and composition of quadripartitioned bipolar single valued neutrosophic graph are investigated. The proposed concepts are illustrated with examples. More >

    Ye Lu1, Hengyang Li1, Sourav Saha2, Satyajit Mojumder2, Abdullah Al Amin1, Derick Suarez1, Yingjian Liu3, Dong Qian3, Wing Kam Liu1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.3, pp. 1351-1371, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.017719 - 25 November 2021

Abstract This paper presents the concept of reduced order machine learning finite element (FE) method. In particular, we propose an example of such method, the proper generalized decomposition (PGD) reduced hierarchical deeplearning neural networks (HiDeNN), called HiDeNN-PGD. We described first the HiDeNN interface seamlessly with the current commercial and open source FE codes. The proposed reduced order method can reduce significantly the degrees of freedom for machine learning and physics based modeling and is able to deal with high dimensional problems. This method is found more accurate than conventional finite element methods with a small portion More >

    M. A. F. A. Wahab1, S. M. Sapuan1,2,*, M. M. Harussani1, M. Y. M. Zuhri1, A. A. Saleh3

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.9, No.11, pp. 1973-1989, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2021.016221 - 04 June 2021

Abstract This paper presents the development process relating to the conceptual design of glass/renewable natural fibrereinforced polymer hybrid composite motorcycle side cover. Motorcycle side cover is a component frequently made from plastic or steel that functions on covering the motorcycle parts, components and systems such as frame, battery, electrical systems and mechanical systems. Function Analysis Systems Techniques (FAST) is used to identify the functions of motorcycle side cover. The right-side cover of motorcycle model SYM E-Bonus 110 has been physically studied to identify the competitive benchmarking criteria. The functions and competitive benchmarking criteria are then compiled… More >

An Optimal Big Data Analytics with Concept Drift Detection on High-Dimensional Streaming Data

    Romany F. Mansour1,*, Shaha Al-Otaibi2, Amal Al-Rasheed2, Hanan Aljuaid3, Irina V. Pustokhina4, Denis A. Pustokhin5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.3, pp. 2843-2858, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016626 - 06 May 2021

Abstract Big data streams started becoming ubiquitous in recent years, thanks to rapid generation of massive volumes of data by different applications. It is challenging to apply existing data mining tools and techniques directly in these big data streams. At the same time, streaming data from several applications results in two major problems such as class imbalance and concept drift. The current research paper presents a new Multi-Objective Metaheuristic Optimization-based Big Data Analytics with Concept Drift Detection (MOMBD-CDD) method on High-Dimensional Streaming Data. The presented MOMBD-CDD model has different operational stages such as pre-processing, CDD, and… More >

Goal Self-Concordance Model: What Have We Learned and Where are We Going

    Peng Wan1, Ting Wen2,*, Yunfei Zhang3, Hong Gao1, Jigan Wang1

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.23, No.2, pp. 201-219, 2021, DOI:10.32604/IJMHP.2021.015759 - 30 April 2021

Abstract Goal self-concordance reflects self-generated personal goals aligning with people’s interests and core values in one’s implicit personality as organic components, which is measured by the “perceived locus of causality” PLOC. Pursuing and achieving self-concordant goals both predict diversified outcomes in need-satisfaction, mental and physical well-being, positive attitude and behavior, etc. Based on expounding and sorting out the concept and measurement about goal self-concordance, the author analyzes the differences among a series of goal self-concordance theories. This paper focuses on the latest research trends and summarizes five influencing aspects of goal self-concordance: mental health, cognition, emotion, More >

Basic concepts and numerical integration issues in the 2D boundary element implementation of strain gradient elasticity problems

    Ney Augusto Dumont

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.23, No.1, pp. 2-2, 2021, DOI:10.32604/icces.2021.08187

Abstract The mathematical modeling of microdevices, in which structure and microstructure have approximately the same scale of magnitude, as well as of macrostructures of markedly granular or crystal nature (microcomposites), demands a nonlocal approach for strains and stresses. The present proposition is based on a simplified strain gradient theory laid down by Aifantis, which has also been applied mainly by Beskos and collaborators in the context of the boundary element method. This paper is an extension of a presentation made during the ICCES 2014 Conference in Crete, Greece, now relying on machine-precision evaluation of all singular… More >

Conceptual Design and Selection of Natural Fibre Reinforced Biopolymer Composite (NFBC) Takeout Food Container

    H. N. Salwa1, S. M. Sapuan1,2,*, M. T. Mastura3, M. Y. M. Zuhri2

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.9, No.4, pp. 803-827, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2021.013977 - 01 February 2021

Abstract Biopolymer composite has gained huge attention for its beneficial properties such as biodegradable and less impact to the environment. This consequently would diminish the dependency on the petroleum-based polymer. Abundance of studies have been done on the development and characterization of biopolymer composite materials for food packaging application, but work on the conceptual design of biopolymer composite packaging product is hardly found. Using the Kano Model, Quality Function Deployment for Environment (QFDE), morphological map, and Analytic Hierarchy Method (AHP) framework combination, this paper presents the conceptual design of a natural fibre reinforced biopolymer composites take-out More >

    Sabin C. Buraga1, Octavian Dospinescu2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.3, pp. 2857-2873, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.014429 - 28 December 2020

Abstract A knowledge-driven approach is proposed for assessing the music influence on university students. The proposed method of modeling and conducting the interactive pilot study can be useful to convey other surveys, interviews, and experiments created in various phases of the user interface (UI) design processes, as part of a general human-computer interaction (HCI) methodology. Benefiting from existing semantic Web and linked data standards, best practices, and tools, a microservice-oriented system is developed as a testbed platform able to generate playlists in a smart way according to users’ music preferences. This novel approach could bring also More >
