    Y. A. Amer1, A. T. El-Sayed2, M. N. Abd El-Salam3,*

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.54, No.3, pp. 149-161, 2020, DOI:10.32604/sv.2020.08469

Abstract In this paper, we used time delay feedback to minimize the vibrations of a hybrid Rayleigh–van der Pol–Duffing oscillator. This system is a one-degree-offreedom containing the cubic and fifth nonlinear terms and an external force. We applied the multiple scales method to get the solution from first approximation. Graphically and numerically, we studied the system before and after adding time delay feedback at the primary resonance case (Ω ≌ ω). We used MATLAB program to simulate the efficacy of different parameters and the time delay on the main system. More >

    Qiming Zou1, Ling Wang1, *, Jie Liu1, Yingtao Jiang2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.3, pp. 631-639, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.012549

Abstract The real-time requirements imposed on a feedback control system are often hard to be met, as the controller spends a disproportionately large amount of time waiting for a control cycle to reach its final state. When such a final state is established, multiple tasks have to be prioritized and launched altogether simultaneously, and the system is given an extremely short time window to generate its output. This huge gap between the wait and action times, perceived as a load unbalancing problem, hinders a control decision to be made in real time. To address this challenging problem, in this paper, we… More >

Abstract Directional Steering System (DSS) has been established for well drilling in the oilfield in order to accomplish high reservoir productivity and to improve accessibility of oil reservoirs in complex locations. In this paper, a novel feedback linearization controller to cancel the nonlinear dynamics of a DSS is proposed. The proposed controller design problem is formulated as an optimization problem for optimal settings of the controller feedback gains. Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) is developed to search for optimal settings of the proposed controller. The objective function considered is to minimize the tracking error and drilling efforts. In this study, the DSS… More >

Xiaofeng Liu, Siqi An, Dongxu Zhang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.4, pp. 771-775, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2017.1337667

Abstract This paper discusses the problem of dynamic output consensus for heterogeneous multi-agent systems (MAS) with fixed topologies. All the agents possess unique linear dynamics, and only the output information of each agent is delivered throughout the communication digraphs. A series of conditions and protocols are set for reaching the consensus. With the proper feedback controllers, the output consensus of the overall system is guaranteed. An application illustrates the theorems. More >

    Hong-Sen Yan1,2, Jiao-Jun Zhang1,2, Qi-Ming Sun1,2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.3, pp. 487-507, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000037

Abstract MTN optimal control scheme of SISO nonlinear time-varying discrete-time systems based on multi-dimensional Taylor network (MTN) is proposed to achieve the real-time output tracking control for a given reference signal. Firstly, an ideal output signal is selected and Pontryagin minimum principle adopted to obtain the numerical solution of the optimal control law for the system relative to the ideal output signal, with the corresponding optimal output termed as desired output signal. Then, MTN optimal controller (MTNC) is generated automatically to fit the optimal control law, and the conjugate gradient (CG) method is employed to train the weight parameters of MTNC… More >

Abstract The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) calls for a comprehensive information security evaluation framework to quantitatively measure the safety score and risk (S&R) value of the network urgently. In this paper, we summarize the architecture and vulnerability in IoT and propose a comprehensive information security evaluation model based on multi-level decomposition feedback. The evaluation model provides an idea for information security evaluation of IoT and guides the security decision maker for dynamic protection. Firstly, we establish an overall evaluation indicator system that includes four primary indicators of threat information, asset, vulnerability, and management, respectively. It also includes eleven… More >

    Ruijie Lin1, Haitao Xu2, *, Meng Li3, Zhen Zhang4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.2, pp. 961-972, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.09686

Abstract In this paper, we have proposed a differential game model to optimally solve the resource allocation problems in the edge-computing based wireless networks. In the proposed model, a wireless network with one cloud-computing center (CC) and lots of edge services providers (ESPs) is investigated. In order to provide users with higher services quality, the ESPs in the proposed wireless network should lease the computing resources from the CC and the CC can allocate its idle cloud computing resource to the ESPs. We will try to optimally allocate the edge computing resources between the ESPs and CC using the differential game… More >

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.16, No.3, pp. 513-524, 2020, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2020.09375

Abstract The possibility to enhance the stability and robustness of electrohydraulic brake (EHB) systems is considered a subject of great importance in the automotive field. In such a context, the present study focuses on an actuator with a four-way sliding valve and a hydraulic cylinder. A 4-order nonlinear mathematical model is introduced accordingly. Through the linearization of the feedback law of the high order EHB model, a sliding mode control method is proposed for the hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic pressure tracking controls are simulated and analyzed by MATLAB/Simulink soft considering separately different conditions, i.e., a sine wave, a square wave and… More >

Abstract The personalized news recommendation has been very popular in the news recommendation field. In most research, the picture information in the news is ignored, but the information conveyed to the users through pictures is more intuitive and more likely to affect the users’ reading interests than the one in the textual form. Therefore, in this paper, a model that combines images and texts in the news is proposed. In this model, the new tags are extracted from the images and texts in the news, and based on these new tags, an adaptive tag (AT) algorithm is proposed. The AT algorithm… More >

    Bo Gao1, *, Xuan Liu1, Xiaobo Wu1, *, Shudong Li2, *, Zhongzhou Lan1, Hui Lu2, *, Boyan Liu1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.62, No.2, pp. 833-847, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.06702

Abstract The stability of Non-Linear Feedback Shift Registers (NFSRs) plays an important role in the cryptographic security. Due to the complexity of nonlinear systems and the lack of efficient algebraic tools, the theorems related to the stability of NFSRs are still not well-developed. In this paper, we view the NFSR with periodic inputs as a Boolean control network. Based on the mathematical tool of semi-tensor product (STP), the Boolean network can be mapped into an algebraic form. Through these basic theories, we analyze the state space of non-autonomous NFSRs, and discuss the stability of an NFSR with periodic inputs of limited… More >
