    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 3799-3813, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026131

Abstract Medical image processing becomes a hot research topic in healthcare sector for effective decision making and diagnoses of diseases. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a widely utilized tool for the classification and detection of prostate cancer. Since the manual screening process of prostate cancer is difficult, automated diagnostic methods become essential. This study develops a novel Deep Learning based Prostate Cancer Classification (DTL-PSCC) model using MRI images. The presented DTL-PSCC technique encompasses EfficientNet based feature extractor for the generation of a set of feature vectors. In addition, the fuzzy k-nearest neighbour (FKNN) model is utilized for classification process where the… More >

Optimized Image Multiplication with Approximate Counter Based Compressor

    M. Maria Dominic Savio1,*, T. Deepa1, N. Bharathiraja2, Anudeep Bonasu3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 3815-3834, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.025924

Abstract The processor is greatly hampered by the large dataset of picture or multimedia data. The logic of approximation hardware is moving in the direction of multimedia processing with a given amount of acceptable mistake. This study proposes various higher-order approximate counter-based compressor (CBC) using input shuffled 6:3 CBC. In the Wallace multiplier using a CBC is a significant factor in partial product reduction. So the design of 10-4, 11-4, 12-4, 13-4 and 14-4 CBC are proposed in this paper using an input shuffled 6:3 compressor to attain two stage multiplications. The input shuffling aims to reduce the output combination of… More >

Sign Language to Sentence Formation: A Real Time Solution for Deaf People

    Muhammad Sanaullah1,*, Muhammad Kashif2, Babar Ahmad2, Tauqeer Safdar2, Mehdi Hassan3, Mohd Hilmi Hasan4, Amir Haider5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 2501-2519, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.021990

Abstract Communication is a basic need of every human being to exchange thoughts and interact with the society. Acute peoples usually confab through different spoken languages, whereas deaf people cannot do so. Therefore, the Sign Language (SL) is the communication medium of such people for their conversation and interaction with the society. The SL is expressed in terms of specific gesture for every word and a gesture is consisted in a sequence of performed signs. The acute people normally observe these signs to understand the difference between single and multiple gestures for singular and plural words respectively. The signs for singular… More >

A New Color Model for Fire Pixels Detection in PJF Color Space

Amal Ben Hamida1,*, Chokri Ben Amar2, Yasser Albagory2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.3, pp. 1607-1621, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024939

Abstract Since the number of fires in the world is rising rapidly, automatic fire detection is getting more and more interest in computer vision community. Instead of the usual inefficient sensors, captured videos by video surveillance cameras can be analyzed to quickly detect fires and prevent damages. This paper presents an early fire-alarm raising method based on image processing. The developed work is able to discriminate fire and non-fire pixels. Fire pixels are identified thanks to a rule-based color model built in the PJF color space. PJF is a newly designed color space that enables to better reflect the structure of… More >

    Seo-young Lim, Jeongho Cho*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.3, pp. 6039-6051, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024862

Abstract Recently, the technology of digital image forgery based on a generative adversarial network (GAN) has considerably improved to the extent that it is difficult to distinguish it from the original image with the naked eye by compositing and editing a person's face or a specific part with the original image. Thus, much attention has been paid to digital image forgery as a social issue. Further, document forgery through GANs can completely change the meaning and context in a document, and it is difficult to identify whether the document is forged or not, which is dangerous. Nonetheless, few studies have been… More >

Abstract The brain of humans and other organisms is affected in various ways through the electromagnetic field (EMF) radiations generated by mobile phones and cell phone towers. Morphological variations in the brain are caused by the neurological changes due to the revelation of EMF. Cellular level analysis is used to measure and detect the effect of mobile radiations, but its utilization seems very expensive, and it is a tedious process, where its analysis requires the preparation of cell suspension. In this regard, this research article proposes optimal broadcasting learning to detect changes in brain morphology due to the revelation of EMF.… More >

Abstract The interest in using fractal theory and its applications has grown in the field of image processing. Image enhancement is one of the feature processing tools, which aims to improve the details of an image. The enhancement of digital pictures is a challenging task due to the unforeseeable variation in the quality of the captured images. In this study, we present a mathematical model using a local conformable differential operator (LCDO). The proposed model is formulated by the theory of cantor fractal to generalize the definition of LCDO. The main advantage of utilizing LCDO for image enhancement is its capability… More >
