    Abstract The default scheduler of Apache Hadoop demonstrates operational inefficiencies when connecting external sources and processing transformation jobs. This paper has proposed a novel scheduler for enhancement of the performance of the Hadoop Yet Another Resource Negotiator (YARN) scheduler, called the Adaptive Node and Container Aware Scheduler (ANACRAC), that aligns cluster resources to the demands of the applications in the real world.     Abstract Shallow water hydro-sediment-morphodynamic modelling plays significant role in several aspects (e.g., river and estuarine engineering). In response to climate change and intense human activities, there have been dramatic changes in river water and sediment flux conditions, and thus sediment transport intensity and bed morphological evolution differs from traditional characteristics. These necessitates fully coupled shallow water hydro-sediment-morphodynamic modelling, which however may damage the computational efficiency.     Abstract Graphene flakes (GF) have been prepared and assessed as a material for improving flow in oil pipelines under the effect of an electric field.
