    Fei Zeng1, Zhinong Wei1, Haiteng Han1,*, Yang Chen2

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.5, pp. 1067-1080, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.022479

Abstract A blockchain-based power transaction method is proposed for Active Distribution Network (ADN), considering the poor security and high cost of a centralized power trading system. Firstly, the decentralized blockchain structure of the ADN power transaction is built and the transaction information is kept in blocks. Secondly, considering the transaction needs between users and power suppliers in ADN, an energy request mechanism is proposed, and the optimization objective function is designed by integrating cost aware requests and storage aware requests. Finally, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used for multi-objective optimal search to find the power trading scheme with the minimum… More >

Abstract Around the globe, chronic diseases pose a serious hazard to healthcare communities. The majority of the deaths are due to chronic diseases, and it causes burdens across the world. Through analyzing healthcare data and extracting patterns healthcare administrators, victims, and healthcare communities will get an advantage if the diseases are early predicted. The majority of the existing works focused on increasing the accuracy of the techniques but didn’t concentrate on other performance measures. Thus, the proposed work improves the early detection of chronic disease and safeguards the lives of the patients by increasing the specificity and sensitivity of the classifiers… More >

    Donghai Li1,2, Jiawei Tian1, Shengwen Shi2, Shanchao Wang2, Jucai Deng2, Shuilong He1,2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 421-445, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.024133

Abstract To better improve the lightweight and fatigue durability performance of the tractor cab, a multi-objective lightweight design of the cab was carried out in this study. First, the finite element model of the cab with counterweight loading was established and then confirmed by the physical testing, and use the inertial relief method to obtain stress distribution under unit load. The cab-frame rigid-flexible coupling multi-body dynamics model was built by Adams/car software. Taking the cab airbag mount displacement and acceleration signals acquired on the proving ground as the desired signals and obtaining the fatigue analysis load spectrum through Femfat-Lab virtual iteration.… More > Graphic Abstract

Structural Damage Identification System Suitable for Old Arch Bridge in Rural Regions: Random Forest Approach

Yu Zhang, Zhihua Xiong*, Zhuoxi Liang, Jiachen She, Chicheng Ma

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 447-469, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.022699

Abstract A huge number of old arch bridges located in rural regions are at the peak of maintenance. The health monitoring technology of the long-span bridge is hardly applicable to the small-span bridge, owing to the absence of technical resources and sufficient funds in rural regions. There is an urgent need for an economical, fast, and accurate damage identification solution. The authors proposed a damage identification system of an old arch bridge implemented with a machine learning algorithm, which took the vehicle-induced response as the excitation. A damage index was defined based on wavelet packet theory, and a machine learning sample… More >

Prediction of Link Failure in MANET-IoT Using Fuzzy Linear Regression

    R. Mahalakshmi1,*, V. Prasanna Srinivasan2, S. Aghalya3, D. Muthukumaran4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 1627-1637, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.032709

Abstract A Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) contains numerous mobile nodes, and it forms a structure-less network associated with wireless links. But, the node movement is the key feature of MANETs; hence, the quick action of the nodes guides a link failure. This link failure creates more data packet drops that can cause a long time delay. As a result, measuring accurate link failure time is the key factor in the MANET. This paper presents a Fuzzy Linear Regression Method to measure Link Failure (FLRLF) and provide an optimal route in the MANET-Internet of Things (IoT). This work aims to predict link… More >

A Novel Framework for DDoS Attacks Detection Using Hybrid LSTM Techniques

Anitha Thangasamy*, Bose Sundan, Logeswari Govindaraj

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 2553-2567, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.032078

Abstract The recent development of cloud computing offers various services on demand for organization and individual users, such as storage, shared computing space, networking, etc. Although Cloud Computing provides various advantages for users, it remains vulnerable to many types of attacks that attract cyber criminals. Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) is the most common type of attack on cloud computing. Consequently, Cloud computing professionals and security experts have focused on the growth of preventive processes towards DDoS attacks. Since DDoS attacks have become increasingly widespread, it becomes difficult for some DDoS attack methods based on individual network flow features to distinguish… More >

Particle Swarm Optimization for Solving Sine-Gordan Equation

    Geeta Arora1, Pinkey Chauhan2, Muhammad Imran Asjad3, Varun Joshi1, Homan Emadifar4, Fahd Jarad5,6,7,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 2647-2658, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.032404

Abstract The term ‘optimization’ refers to the process of maximizing the beneficial attributes of a mathematical function or system while minimizing the unfavorable ones. The majority of real-world situations can be modelled as an optimization problem. The complex nature of models restricts traditional optimization techniques to obtain a global optimal solution and paves the path for global optimization methods. Particle Swarm Optimization is a potential global optimization technique that has been widely used to address problems in a variety of fields. The idea of this research is to use exponential basis functions and the particle swarm optimization technique to find a… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1711-1726, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031467

Abstract Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of a group of limited energy source sensors that are installed in a particular region to collect data from the environment. Designing the energy-efficient data collection methods in large-scale wireless sensor networks is considered to be a difficult area in the research. Sensor node clustering is a popular approach for WSN. Moreover, the sensor nodes are grouped to form clusters in a cluster-based WSN environment. The battery performance of the sensor nodes is likewise constrained. As a result, the energy efficiency of WSNs is critical. In specific, the energy usage is influenced by the loads… More >
