Grid-Connected Control Strategy of VSG under Complex Grid Voltage Conditions

    Bin Zhang, Yanjun Jin*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.4, pp. 1467-1482, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.018233

Abstract Under complex grid conditions, the grid voltage usually has an imbalance, low order harmonics, and a small of DC bias. When the grid voltage contains low order harmonics and a small amount of DC bias component, the inverter's output current cannot meet the grid connection requirements, and there is a three-phase current imbalance in the control strategy of common VSG under unbalanced voltage. A theoretical analysis of non-ideal power grids is carried out, and a VSG control strategy under complex operating conditions is proposed. Firstly, the third-order generalized integrator (TOGI) is used to eliminate the influence of the DC component… More >

    Runze Li1, Jiaohua Qin1,*, Yun Tan1, Neal N. Xiong2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 1571-1583, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029378

Abstract Most existing coverless video steganography algorithms use a particular video frame for information hiding. These methods do not reflect the unique sequential features of video carriers that are different from image and have poor robustness. We propose a coverless video steganography method based on frame sequence perceptual distance mapping. In this method, we introduce Learned Perceptual Image Patch Similarity (LPIPS) to quantify the similarity between consecutive video frames to obtain the sequential features of the video. Then we establish the relationship map between features and the hash sequence for information hiding. In addition, the MongoDB database is used to store… More >

    Samar Elbedwehy1,*, T. Medhat2, Taher Hamza3, Mohammed F. Alrahmawy3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 1483-1500, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029313

Abstract Image captioning is an emerging field in machine learning. It refers to the ability to automatically generate a syntactically and semantically meaningful sentence that describes the content of an image. Image captioning requires a complex machine learning process as it involves two sub models: a vision sub-model for extracting object features and a language sub-model that use the extracted features to generate meaningful captions. Attention-based vision transformers models have a great impact in vision field recently. In this paper, we studied the effect of using the vision transformers on the image captioning process by evaluating the use of four different… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 1601-1619, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026205

Abstract The study of viruses and their genetics has been an opportunity as well as a challenge for the scientific community. The recent ongoing SARS-Cov2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) pandemic proved the unpreparedness for these situations. Not only the countermeasures for the effect caused by virus need to be tackled but the mutation taking place in the very genome of the virus is needed to be kept in check frequently. One major way to find out more information about such pathogens is by extracting the genetic data of such viruses. Though genetic data of viruses have been cultured and stored as… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 493-511, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.021787

    Abstract

Recently, many researchers have used nature inspired metaheuristic algorithms due to their ability to perform optimally on complex problems. To solve problems in a simple way, in the recent era bat algorithm has become famous due to its high tendency towards convergence to the global optimum most of the time. But, still the standard bat with random walk has a problem of getting stuck in local minima. In order to solve this problem, this research proposed bat algorithm with levy flight random walk. Then, the proposed Bat with Levy flight algorithm is further hybridized with three different variants of ANN.… More >

    Medhat A. Tawfeek1,2,*, Saad Alanazi1, A. A. Abd El-Aziz3,4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.3, pp. 6091-6106, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028391

Abstract The alignment operation between many protein sequences or DNA sequences related to the scientific bioinformatics application is very complex. There is a trade-off in the objectives in the existing techniques of Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA). The techniques that concern with speed ignore accuracy, whereas techniques that concern with accuracy ignore speed. The term alignment means to get the similarity in different sequences with high accuracy. The more growing number of sequences leads to a very complex and complicated problem. Because of the emergence; rapid development; and dependence on gene sequencing, sequence alignment has become important in every biological relationship analysis… More >

PAPR Reduction of NOMA Using Vandermonde Matrix-Particle Transmission Sequence

    Arun Kumar1,*, Sandeep Gupta2, Himanshu Sharma3, Mehedi Masud4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.1, pp. 193-201, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.023991

Abstract Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is an ideal choice for 5G waveforms due to their characteristics such as high data rate, massive device connectivity, high spectral access, and effective frequency selective fading. Thus, it permits gigantic connectivity. The spectrum overlaps with NOMA, which consents several operators to segment the spectrum at the same frequency. These features make NOMA more suitable for use beyond 5G. Peak to Average Power (PAPR) is a major problem in Multi-Carrier Techniques (MCT) like NOMA and it also degrades the performance of the amplifier. The Partial Transmission Sequence (PTS) is a superior algorithm for moderating the PAPR.… More >

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.7, pp. 1503-1516, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.020390

Abstract Lonicerae Flos (LF) derived from the dried flower buds or opening flowers of four Lonicera plants (Lonicera macranthoides, L. hypoglauca, L. confusa, and L. fulvotnetosa), is a popular traditional Chinese medicine. Because the four origin plants are very similar in morphology, it is difficult to control the quality of LF in actual production. Over the past decade, many reports have pointed out the differences among them, including the botanical characteristics and active ingredients. However, there is still a lack of rapid methods that can be applied to the identification of the four origins. In this study, comparative analysis of the… More >

Qamar Abbas1, Khalid Mahmood Malik2, Abdul Khader Jilani Saudagar3,*, Muhammad Badruddin Khan3, Mozaherul Hoque Abul Hasanat3, Abdullah AlTameem3, Mohammed AlKhathami3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 1229-1250, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024211

Abstract One of the challenging problems with evolutionary computing algorithms is to maintain the balance between exploration and exploitation capability in order to search global optima. A novel convergence track based adaptive differential evolution (CTbADE) algorithm is presented in this research paper. The crossover rate and mutation probability parameters in a differential evolution algorithm have a significant role in searching global optima. A more diverse population improves the global searching capability and helps to escape from the local optima problem. Tracking the convergence path over time helps enhance the searching speed of a differential evolution algorithm for varying problems. An adaptive… More >
