A Novel Big Data Storage Reduction Model for Drill Down Search

    N. Ragavan, C. Yesubai Rubavathi*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 373-387, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020452

Abstract Multi-level searching is called Drill down search. Right now, no drill down search feature is available in the existing search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Baidu. Drill down search is very much useful for the end user to find the exact search results among the huge paginated search results. Higher level of drill down search with category based search feature leads to get the most accurate search results but it increases the number and size of the file system. The purpose of this manuscript is to implement a big data storage reduction binary file system model for category based… More >

Secured Data Storage Using Deduplication in Cloud Computing Based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography

    N. Niyaz Ahamed*, N. Duraipandian

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 83-94, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020071

Abstract The tremendous development of cloud computing with related technologies is an unexpected one. However, centralized cloud storage faces few challenges such as latency, storage, and packet drop in the network. Cloud storage gets more attention due to its huge data storage and ensures the security of secret information. Most of the developments in cloud storage have been positive except better cost model and effectiveness, but still data leakage in security are billion-dollar questions to consumers. Traditional data security techniques are usually based on cryptographic methods, but these approaches may not be able to withstand an attack from the cloud server's… More >

Transcriptome profile analysis of the accompanying migratory parasitic wasp Aenasius bambawalei (= Aenasius arizonensis girault) (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae): Genes related to fertilization involved at different stage of ovary development

    JUAN ZHANG2, JUN HUANG3, YAYUAN TANG2, XIUZHEN LONG1

    BIOCELL, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 195-205, 2022, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2022.016563

Abstract Age-related declines in fertilization success have been reported for a wide range of species. The fertilization of parasitic wasps is closely related to egg production and sperm storage. Aenasius bambawalei (Hymenoptera: Encyridae) is a key parasitic wasp of the important invasive mealybug Phenacoccus solenopsis (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae). The female offspring ratio of this parasitic wasp was declined with parental age in mass rearing under laboratory conditions. To investigate the molecular mechanisms involved in the reproduction of A. bambawalei, an extensive analysis of the impact of age on transcriptome profile of mated ovaries of this wasp was performed by comparing the gene… More >

Fault Management Cyber-Physical Systems in Virtual Storage Model

    Kailash Kumar*, Ahmad Abdullah Aljabr

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 3781-3801, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020510

Abstract On average, every two years, the amount of data existing globally doubles. Software development will be affected and improved by Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). The number of problems remained even though developments helped Information Technology experts extract better value from their storage investments. Because of poor interoperability between different vendors and devices, countless numbers of Storage Area Networks were created. Network setup used for data storage includes a complex and rigid arrangement of routers, switch, hosts/servers, storage arrays. We have evaluated the performance of routing protocol Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) under different network scenario by Network… More >

Nitric Oxide Regulates Mitochondrial Fatty Acids and Promotes CBF Expression of Peach Fruit during Cold Storage

    Xiaoshan Guo1,2, Dandan Huang2, Siyu Wen2, Yang Bai2, Shuhua Zhu2,*, Jianrong Feng1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.2, pp. 409-427, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018022

Abstract Low-temperature storage is convenient for postharvest preservation of peach fruit, but peach fruit is sensitive to cold damage, which lowers its quality. Nitric oxide (NO) has the potential to improve the bitter resistance of peach fruit. In this work, peach fruit was treated with 15 μmol L−1 NO and 5 μmol L−1 c-PTIO [2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxo-3-oxide], to study changes in mitochondrial fatty acids and expression of the C-repeat binding factor (CBF). The results showed that 15 μmol L−1 exogenous NO significantly maintained fruit quality, reduced peroxidation of mitochondrial fatty acids, increased the activities of the antioxidants superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase… More >

Modelling and Optimal Design of Hybrid Power System Photovoltaic/Solid Oxide Fuel Cell for a Mediterranean City

    Bachir Melzi1, Nesrine Kefif2, Mamdouh El Haj Assad3,*, Haleh Delnava4, Abdulkadir Hamid5

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.6, pp. 1767-1781, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.017270

Abstract This work presents a hybrid power system consisting of photovoltaic and solid oxide fuel cell (PV-SOFC) for electricity production and hydrogen production. The simulation of this hybrid system is adjusted for Bou-Zedjar city in north Algeria. Homer software was used for this simulation to calculate the power output and the total net present cost. The method used depends on the annual average monthly values of clearness index and radiation for which the energy contributions are determined for each component of PV/SOFC hybrid system. The economic study is more important criterion in the proposed hybrid system, and the results show that… More >

Performance Analysis of Multi-Energy Hybrid System Based on Molten Salt Energy Storage

    Xin Xu*, Lian Zhang*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.118, No.6, pp. 1905-1920, 2021, DOI:10.32604/EE.2021.016738

Abstract This paper briefly summarizes the current status of typical solar thermal power plant system, including system composition, thermal energy storage medium and performance. The thermo-physical properties of the storage medium are some of the most important factors that affect overall efficiency of the system, because some renewable energy sources such as solar and wind are unpredictable. A thermal storage system is therefore necessary to store energy for continuous usage. Based on the form of storage or the mode of system connection, heat exchangers of a thermal storage system can produce different temperature ranges of heat transfer fluid to realize energy… More >

    Jia-Shun Zhang1, Gang Xu2,*, Xiu-Bo Chen1, Haseeb Ahmad3, Xin Liu4, Wen Liu5,6,7

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 2903-2916, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.017227

Abstract With the rapid development of cloud computing technology, cloud services have now become a new business model for information services. The cloud server provides the IT resources required by customers in a self-service manner through the network, realizing business expansion and rapid innovation. However, due to the insufficient protection of data privacy, the problem of data privacy leakage in cloud storage is threatening cloud computing. To address the problem, we propose BC-PECK, a data protection scheme based on blockchain and public key searchable encryption. Firstly, all the data is protected by the encryption algorithm. The privacy data is encrypted and… More >
