Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer (FHMT) established the Outstanding Editorial Board Member Award to recognize Editorial Board members who have made exceptional contributions to the journal's development through rigorous peer review, active promotion of the journal's international reputation, and outstanding engagement as Early Career Editorial Board members. Winners will be selected from among the Editorial Board members by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Office. Results will be announced before June 30, 2027.
(1) FHMT Outstanding Editorial Board Member Award (Promotion)
Number of Winners: 1
Purpose: To recognize an Editorial Board member for outstanding contributions to enhancing FHMT's international reputation and impact, attracting high-quality manuscript submissions, and advancing the development and engagement of the journal's academic community.
Evaluation criteria may include: number and quality of Special Issues initiated or guest-edited; number of high-quality manuscripts referred or submitted; participation in promotional activities (e.g., conference presentations, social media outreach, institutional collaborations).
(2) FHMT Outstanding Editorial Board Member Award (Quality)
Number of Winners: 1
Purpose: To recognize an Editorial Board member for outstanding performance in peer review, rigorous academic quality assurance, and significant contributions to maintaining the journal's high editorial standards.
Evaluation criteria may include: number of reviews completed; review timeliness; depth and rigor of review comments, as assessed by the Editorial Office and Editor-in-Chief.
(3) FHMT Outstanding Editorial Board Member Award (Early Career Editorial Board Member)
Number of Winners: 1
Purpose: To recognize an Early Career Editorial Board member who has demonstrated outstanding engagement and made significant contributions to the journal's development.
Evaluation criteria may include: overall responsiveness and engagement (reviewing, manuscript recommendations, participation in editorial activities); initiative in proposing new ideas or content for the journal; growth trajectory and potential for future leadership within the Editorial Board.
