Summary
The International Conference of Chemical Engineering & Industrial Biotechnology, abbreviated as ICCEIB, is a biennial event organized by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Malaysia. The conference's eighth edition, scheduled for 2026, will be co-hosted by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Indonesia). The theme for ICCEIB2026 is "Culturing Sustainable Technological Solutions for Industry and Society". This conference aims to disseminate to the general public the latest research discoveries and achievements in the fields of chemical engineering and industrial biotechnology. It will specifically focus on the nexus of food, energy, and water. These areas have become a major concern to researchers and policymakers.
This special issue for ICCEIB 2026 at UMPSA focuses on advancements in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology under IR 4.0, covering heat and mass transfer related to diverse areas such as Food and Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology and Bioprocesses, Fluid Flow and Thermodynamics, Bioenergy and Renewable Energy, Advanced Materials, Enzyme Technology, Petrochemical Processing, Process Control, Environmental Engineering, and more. We invite experts and researchers worldwide from academia and industry, early-career to seasoned professionals, to share innovative work and collaborate in driving progress across these fields. Emphasis is placed on integrating IR 4.0 technologies like IoT, AI, and automation to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and safety in chemical and biotechnological processes.
