Summary
The convergence of intelligent automation and cybersecurity is reshaping critical infrastructures, industrial processes, and digital services. This Special Issue focuses on AI-driven automation and its security implications, addressing both the opportunities and vulnerabilities arising from the widespread deployment of autonomous systems, Internet of Things, and cyber-physical platforms.
We invite high-quality original research and review articles that explore novel methodologies, algorithms, and architectures for secure, resilient, and adaptive intelligent systems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
· AI-based anomaly detection and threat intelligence
· Secure automation in smart manufacturing and robotics
· Machine learning for intrusion detection and response
· Trustworthy AI and explainable security models
· Cyber-physical system protection and risk assessment
· Intelligent control with built-in security guarantees
· Data privacy and ethical AI in automated decision-making
The objective is to present practical solutions and theoretical frameworks that bridge the gap between automation efficiency and cybersecurity robustness. We encourage submissions from academia, industry, and government, emphasizing real-world validation and significant impact. This Special Issue is not limited to conference proceedings; it welcomes original contributions from the global research community working at the intersection of automation, AI, and security.
