Summary

With the growing demand for intelligent, high-performance materials, polymer-based three-dimensional (3D) structures have emerged as key enablers across engineering, energy, electronics, and architectural domains. Notably, their capabilities in thermal transfer, storage, and conversion have attracted extensive research interest. As 3D fabrication technologies continue to evolve, new challenges and opportunities arise in understanding and optimizing their thermal behavior.

This special issue, Hot Topics in 3D Materials: Exploring Thermal Performance in Complex Architectures, seeks to gather cutting-edge research that deepens insight into the thermal functionalities of polymer-based 3D systems. We welcome contributions that explore both fundamental mechanisms and applied innovations.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
