Summary

Incorporating sustainability aspects into polymer-based additive manufacturing (AM) has been altering the outlook of advanced materials and production technologies.

This Special Issue welcomes submissions of high-quality research and review papers that offer a new perspective on the design of bio-based, recyclable, and eco-efficient polymer materials, as well as novel process concepts aimed at reducing energy consumption and waste. Key subjects of this work are sustainable feedstocks, circular economy polymer AM processes, low CO2 printing processes, and hybrid manufacturing solutions, as well as LCA methodologies.

Contributions to the development of material properties and manufacturing performance through experiments, analysis, and computations are especially encouraged. By bringing contributions from multidisciplinary perspectives, this Special Issue aims to underpin the environmentally sustainable development of polymer production at an industrial scale with responsibility.
