    Harish Gunigari1,*, S. Chitra2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 3557-3571, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.029155 - 17 August 2022

Abstract Real-time applications based on Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technologies quickly lead to the growth of an intelligent environment. Sensor nodes play an essential role in distributing information from networking and its transfer to the sinks. The ability of dynamical technologies and related techniques to be aided by data collection and analysis across the Internet of Things (IoT) network is widely recognized. Sensor nodes are low-power devices with low power devices, storage, and quantitative processing capabilities. The existing system uses the Artificial Immune System-Particle Swarm Optimization method to minimize the energy and improve the network’s lifespan.… More >

    S. Nithya Roopa1, P. Anandababu2,*, Sibi Amaran3, Rajesh Verma4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.1, pp. 497-512, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.029133 - 16 August 2022

Abstract Recently, energy harvesting wireless sensor networks (EHWSN) have increased significant attention among research communities. By harvesting energy from the neighboring environment, the sensors in EHWSN resolve the energy constraint problem and offers lengthened network lifetime. Clustering is one of the proficient ways for accomplishing even improved lifetime in EHWSN. The clustering process intends to appropriately elect the cluster heads (CHs) and construct clusters. Though several models are available in the literature, it is still needed to accomplish energy efficiency and security in EHWSN. In this view, this study develops a novel Chaotic Rider Optimization Based… More >

Topology Driven Cooperative Self Scheduling for Improved Lifetime Maximization in WSN

    G. Brindha1,*, P. Ezhilarasi2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.1, pp. 445-458, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.027329 - 16 August 2022

Abstract In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), scheduling is one of the important issues that impacts the lifetime of entire WSN. Various scheduling schemes have been proposed earlier to increase the lifetime of the network. Still, the results from such methods are compromised in terms of achieving high lifetime. With this objective to increase the lifetime of network, an Efficient Topology driven Cooperative Self-Scheduling (TDCSS) model is recommended in this study. Instead of scheduling the network nodes in a centralized manner, a combined approach is proposed. Based on the situation, the proposed TDCSS approach performs scheduling in… More >

    I. Adumbabu1,*, K. Selvakumar2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.2, pp. 1939-1956, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.029489 - 19 July 2022

Abstract A wireless sensor network (WSN) is made up of sensor nodes that communicate via radio waves in order to conduct sensing functions. In WSN, the location of the base station is critical. Although base stations are fixed, they may move in response to data received from sensor nodes under specific conditions. Clustering is a highly efficient approach of minimising energy use. The issues of extending the life of WSNs and optimising their energy consumption have been addressed in this paper. It has been established that integrating mobile sinks into wireless sensor networks extends their longevity.… More >

    Reem Alkanhel1, Mohamed Abouhawwash2,3, S. N. Sangeethaa4, K. Venkatachalam5, Doaa Sami Khafaga6,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.2, pp. 2135-2149, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.028852 - 19 July 2022

Abstract Real-time applications based on Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technologies are quickly increasing due to intelligent surroundings. Among the most significant resources in the WSN are battery power and security. Clustering strategies improve the power factor and secure the WSN environment. It takes more electricity to forward data in a WSN. Though numerous clustering methods have been developed to provide energy consumption, there is indeed a risk of unequal load balancing, resulting in a decrease in the network’s lifetime due to network inequalities and less security. These possibilities arise due to the cluster head’s limited life… More >

Fuzzy with Metaheuristics Based Routing for Clustered Wireless Sensor Networks

Ashit Kumar Dutta1,*, Yasser Albagory2, Majed Alsanea3, Abdul Rahaman Wahab Sait4, Hazim Saleh AlRawashdeh5

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.1, pp. 367-380, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.027076 - 06 June 2022

Abstract Wireless sensor network (WSN) plays a vital part in real time tracking and data collection applications. WSN incorporates a set of numerous sensor nodes (SNs) commonly utilized to observe the target region. The SNs operate using an inbuilt battery and it is not easier to replace or charge it. Therefore, proper utilization of available energy in the SNs is essential to prolong the lifetime of the WSN. In this study, an effective Type-II Fuzzy Logic with Butterfly Optimization Based Route Selection (TFL-BOARS) has been developed for clustered WSN. The TFL-BOARS technique intends to optimally select… More >

Abstract Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a vital element in Internet of Things (IoT) as the former enables the collection of huge quantities of data in energy-constrained environment. WSN offers independent access to the target region and performs data collection in an effective manner. But energy constraints remain a challenging issue in WSN since it operates on in-built battery. The studies conducted earlier recommended that the energy spent on communication process must be considerably reduced to improve the efficiency of WSN. Cluster organization and optimal selection of the routes are considered as NP hard optimization problems… More >

A Novel Multiple Dependent State Sampling Plan Based on Time Truncated Life Tests Using Mean Lifetime

    Pramote Charongrattanasakul1, Wimonmas Bamrungsetthapong2,*, Poom Kumam3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.3, pp. 4611-4626, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.030856 - 28 July 2022

Abstract The design of a new adaptive version of the multiple dependent state (AMDS) sampling plan is presented based on the time truncated life test under the Weibull distribution. We achieved the proposed sampling plan by applying the concept of the double sampling plan and existing multiple dependent state sampling plans. A warning sign for acceptance number was proposed to increase the probability of current lot acceptance. The optimal plan parameters were determined simultaneously with nonlinear optimization problems under the producer’s risk and consumer’s risk. A simulation study was presented to support the proposed sampling plan. More >
