    Abstract To understand the influence of the initial release conditions on the separation characteristics of the store and improve it under high Mach number (Ma = 4) flight conditions, the overset grid method and the Realizable turbulence model coupled with an equation with six degrees of freedom are used to simulate the store released from the internal bay.     Abstract

    In this study, hydrogels were prepared from municipal sludge to recycle and realize the value-added utilization of the carbon components in this abundant waste material. The carbon sources were extracted from the municipal sludge using synthesised nano CaO2 as an oxidant, and the carbon sources were graft copolymerised with acrylic acid monomer using N, N′-methylenebisacrylamide as a crosslinking agent and ammonium persulfate as an initiator.     Abstract Citral (Eo) exhibits excellent fungicidal activities. However, it is difficult to maintain long-term fungicidal activity due to its strong volatility. Herein, a controlled-release strategy by using biomass-derived porous carbon (BC) was developed to overcome the drawback of Eo.     Abstract The effects of dielectric barrier discharge plasma treatment on zein fi lm containing thymol as an active ingredient were evaluated. The plasma discharge was optically characterized to identify the reactive species. A signifi cant increase in the fi lm roughness (p < 0.05) was observed due to the etching effect of DBD plasma, which was correlated with the increase in the diffusion rate of thymol in the food simulant. Ethyl cellulose microcapsules containing potassium monopersulfate (PMCM) were prepared by emulsified solvent diffusion method. The chemical structure and microstructure of the obtained PMCM was characterized by methods of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ACT energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.     Abstract A silk fibroin (SF) spongy wound dressing incorporated with silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) was developed for biomedical applications. Ag-NPs were efficiently synthesized in situ via ultra violet (UV) with AgNO3 as precursor and silk fibroin as reducing and protecting agent, respectively. After lyophilization, the formed silk fibroin spongy wound dressing (SFWD) exhibited polyporous morphology and inner lamellae structures, with uniform dispersion of Ag-NPs.
