    Doubled haploid production in advanced back cross generations and molecular cytogenetic characterization of rye chromatin in triticale × wheat derived doubled haploid lines

    Abstract The rye genome has shown potential for improvement of bread wheat, where wheat-rye substitutions and translocations have been and are frequently used in resistance breeding. Crosses belongs to different generations viz., BC1F1, BC1F2, BC1F3, BC1F4 and BC2F3 of triticale × wheat derived were used for different haploid induction parameters using Gogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) as a pollen source.     Abstract Rice-Tartary buckwheat (RTB) is a special germplasm of Tartary buckwheat. In this study, the appraisal of taste quality between RTB and conventional Tartary buckwheat (CTB) was presented, and the metabolites in kernels at three typical grain filling stage (GFS) were investigated. Unlike CTB, RTB showed thin shell seeds without longitudinal furrows at maturity, which was easily artificially dehulled.
