Abstract A H2O2-induced oxidative stress injury cell model was established to investigate the antioxidant effect of nano-selenium on mouse spermatocyte lines and the regulation mechanism of the expression level and activity of selenium-containing antioxidant enzymes induced by oxidative stress. A safe and effective nano-drug system of functionalized selenium-containing nanoparticles (SeNPs) was developed with lentinan (LNT) (SeNPs@LNT). Mice spermatocyte line GC2-spg cells were treated with SeNPs@LNT (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 μM) for 24–72 h to evaluate the cytotoxicity of selenium. GC2-spg cells were randomly divided into the following groups: control, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), SeNPs@LNT, and H2O2+SeNPs@LNT groups. H2O2+SeNPs@LNT group was… More >

    Xiaorui Zhang1,2,3,*, Feng Xu2, Wei Sun3,4, Yan Jiang2, Yi Cao5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1695-1709, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031506

Abstract 3D reconstruction based on single view aims to reconstruct the entire 3D shape of an object from one perspective. When existing methods reconstruct the mesh surface of complex objects, the surface details are difficult to predict and the reconstruction visual effect is poor because the mesh representation is not easily integrated into the deep learning framework; the 3D topology is easily limited by predefined templates and inflexible, and unnecessary mesh self-intersections and connections will be generated when reconstructing complex topology, thus destroying the surface details; the training of the reconstruction network is limited by the large amount of information attached… More >

    Binhui Tang1,3, Junfeng Wang2,*, Huanran Qiu3, Jian Yu2, Zhongkun Yu2, Shijia Liu2,4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 235-252, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.029135

Abstract The continuous improvement of the cyber threat intelligence sharing mechanism provides new ideas to deal with Advanced Persistent Threats (APT). Extracting attack behaviors, i.e., Tactics, Techniques, Procedures (TTP) from Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) can facilitate APT actors’ profiling for an immediate response. However, it is difficult for traditional manual methods to analyze attack behaviors from cyber threat intelligence due to its heterogeneous nature. Based on the Adversarial Tactics, Techniques and Common Knowledge (ATT&CK) of threat behavior description, this paper proposes a threat behavioral knowledge extraction framework that integrates Heterogeneous Text Network (HTN) and Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) to solve this… More >

    Oncology Research, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 19-27, 2019, DOI:10.3727/096504018X15193469240508

Abstract The dysregulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) plays an important function in the onset and progression of gastric cancer (GC). In addition, aberrantly expressed miRNAs affect the chemosensitivity of GC cells to chemotherapeutic drugs. Hence, miRNA-based targeted therapy might be applied to treat patients with GC exhibiting chemotherapeutic resistance. In this study, miRNA-623 (miR-623) expression was downregulated in GC tissues and cell lines. Functional analysis showed that the restored miR-623 expression could inhibit the proliferation of GC cells and enhance their chemosensitivity to 5-FU via the cell apoptosis pathway. Cyclin D1 (CCND1) was identified as a direct target gene of miR-623 in… More >

    Oncology Research, Vol.27, No.7, pp. 789-799, 2019, DOI:10.3727/096504018X15444387696532

Abstract Many studies have shown that downregulated miR-203 level is in a variety of cancers including gastric cancer (GC). However, the precise molecule mechanisms of miR-203 in GC have not been well clarified. In the current study, we investigated the biological functions and molecular mechanisms of miR-203 in GC cell lines. We found that miR-203 is downregulated in GC tissues and cell lines. Moreover, the low level of miR-203 was associated with increased expression of annexin A4 in GC tissues and cell lines. The invasion and EMT of GC cells were suppressed by overexpression of miR-203. However, downregulation of miR-203 promoted… More >

Abstract S100 binding protein A16 (S100A16) expression levels are closely associated with microRNA (miRNA) processing. Higher levels of S100A16 are reported during the progression of many cancers. Our study mainly explored the interaction between S100A16 and miR-6884-5p in gastric cancer (GC). Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to determine the level of S100A16 and miR-6884-5p in GC tissues and cell lines. The si-S100A16, pcDNA-S100A16, miR-6884-5p mimic or inhibitor was transfected into GC cells, and the effects of S100A16 and miR-6884-5p on the proliferation, invasion, and epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) were explored by qRT-PCR and Western blot assays. Abstract Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)-encoded latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1) plays an important oncogenic role in the viral latent infection. Recently, increasing evidence indicates that the high expression of LMP1 during EBV lytic cycle is related to the viral lytic replication. However, the mechanism by which LMP1 regulates EBV lytic replication remains unclear. (−)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) prevents carcinogenesis by directly targeting numerous membrane proteins and effectively inhibits EBV lytic cascade. Here, we demonstrated that LMP1 promotes EBV lytic replication through the downstream signal molecules MAPKs, including ERKs, p38, and JNKs. LMP1 induces the phosphorylation of p53 through MAPKs to enhance the ability of… More >
