    Effects of Filler-Asphalt Ratio on the Properties of Lignin and Polyester Fiber Reinforced SMPU/SBS Modified Asphalt Mortar

    Abstract To understand the effects of filler-asphalt ratio on different properties of lignin and polyester fiber reinforced shape memory polyurethane (SMPU)/styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) composite modified asphalt mortar (PSAM), as well as to reveal the reinforcing and toughening mechanisms of lignin and polyester fibers on PSAM, SMPU, SBS and mineral powder were first utilized to prepare PSAM. Then the conventional, rheological and anticracking properties of lignin fiber reinforced PSAM (LFAM) and polyester fiber reinforced PSAM (PFAM) at different filler-asphalt ratios were characterized.     Theoretical Analysis of the Galloping Energy Harvesters under Bounded Random Parameter Excitation

    Abstract In this paper, the response properties of galloping energy harvesters under bounded random parameter excitation are studied theoretically. The first-order approximate solution of the galloping energy harvester is derived by applying the multi-scales method. The expression for the largest Lyapunov exponent that determines the trivial solution is derived, and the corresponding simulation diagrams, including the largest Lyapunov exponent diagrams and time domain diagrams, verify our results.     Abstract This article is a summary of research involving the evaluation of the thermo-physical properties of Mono-ethylene - glycol-based solar thermic fluids oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotubes. Nanofluids were prepared with Mono-ethylene glycol and water as base fluids in 100:0, 90:10 and 80:20 ratios. These base fluids of three categories were dispersed with purified and oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in the weight fractions of 0.125, 0.25 and 0.5 percentages.     Abstract Propylene glycol-based MWCNT (multi-walled carbon nanotubes) nanofluids were prepared in the framework of a two-step method and by using a suitable PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone) dispersant. The BBD (Box-Behnken design) model was exploited to analyze 17 sets of experiments and examine the sensitivity of the absorbance to three parameters, namely the concentration of MWCNT, the SN ratio (mass ratio of carbon nanotubes to surfactants) and the sonication time.     Abstract Drilling technologies based on oil-based drilling fluids and strong inhibitory saltwater fluids are affected by drawbacks such as downhole accidents where sticking and wellbore instabilities occur. Existing polyamine drilling fluids also exhibit problems such as easy decomposition and poor inhibition performances. In order to mitigate these issues, additives can be used, such as polyamine inhibitors and the synthesis of nanometer filtrate reducers.
