Xiangfei Li, Yang Yin, Yang Zhou, Wenchang Liu, Kaihui Zhao*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.2, pp. 277-297, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.022461

Abstract This paper presents a novel non-singular fast terminal sliding mode control (NFTSMC) based on the deep flux weakening switching point tracking method in order to improve the control performance of permanent interior magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drive systems. The mathematical model of flux weakening (FW) control is established, and the deep flux weakening switching point is calculated accurately by analyzing the relationship between the torque curve and voltage decline curve. Next, a second-order NFTSMC is designed for the speed loop controller to ensure that the system converges to the equilibrium state in finite time. Then, an extended sliding mode disturbance… More > Graphic Abstract

    Vineet Sharma1, Mohammad Zubair Khan2,*, Shivani Batra1, Abdullah Alsaeedi3, Prakash Srivastava4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1211-1231, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.029184

Abstract The amount of needed control messages in wireless sensor networks (WSN) is affected by the storage strategy of detected events. Because broadcasting superfluous control messages consumes excess energy, the network lifespan can be extended if the quantity of control messages is decreased. In this study, an optimized storage technique having low control overhead for tracking the objects in WSN is introduced. The basic concept is to retain observed events in internal memory and preserve the relationship between sensed information and sensor nodes using a novel inexpensive data structure entitled Ordered Binary Linked List (OBLL). Whenever an object passes over the… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 2771-2787, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.033460

Abstract In this paper, a non-negative adaptive mechanism based on an adaptive nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode control strategy is proposed to have finite time and high-speed trajectory tracking for parallel manipulators with the existence of unknown bounded complex uncertainties and external disturbances. The proposed approach is a hybrid scheme of the online non-negative adaptive mechanism, tracking differentiator, and nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode control (NFTSMC). Based on the online non-negative adaptive mechanism, the proposed control can remove the assumption that the uncertainties and disturbances must be bounded for the NFTSMC controllers. The proposed controller has several advantages such as simple… More >

    Tao Hou1, Shan Wang1,2,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.1, pp. 87-106, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.022122

Abstract The existing Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method has low tracking efficiency and poor stability. It is easy to fall into the Local Maximum Power Point (LMPP) in Partial Shading Condition (PSC), resulting in the degradation of output power quality and efficiency. It was found that various bio-inspired MPPT based optimization algorithms employ different mechanisms, and their performance in tracking the Global Maximum Power Point (GMPP) varies. Thus, a Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA) combined with the Incremental conductance Algorithm (INC) is proposed (CSA-INC) is put forward for the MPPT method of photovoltaic power generation. The method can improve the tracking… More > Graphic Abstract

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 353-368, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.032355

Abstract Improved picture quality is critical to the effectiveness of object recognition and tracking. The consistency of those photos is impacted by night-video systems because the contrast between high-profile items and different atmospheric conditions, such as mist, fog, dust etc. The pictures then shift in intensity, colour, polarity and consistency. A general challenge for computer vision analyses lies in the horrid appearance of night images in arbitrary illumination and ambient environments. In recent years, target recognition techniques focused on deep learning and machine learning have become standard algorithms for object detection with the exponential growth of computer performance capabilities. However, the… More >

    R. Ganesan1,*, G. Sankaranarayanan1, M. Pradeep Kumar2, V. K. Bupesh Raja1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 667-681, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.031932

Abstract This research introduces a challenge in integrating and cleaning the data, which is a crucial task in object matching. While the object is detected and then measured, the vibration at different light intensities may influence the durability and reliability of mechanical systems or structures and cause problems such as damage, abnormal stopping, and disaster. Recent research failed to improve the accuracy rate and the computation time in tracking an object and in the vibration measurement. To solve all these problems, this proposed research simplifies the scaling factor determination by assigning a known real-world dimension to a predetermined portion of the… More >

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.17, No.5, pp. 591-603, 2022, DOI:10.32604/chd.2022.021509

Abstract Background: The right ventricle to pulmonary artery conduit (RVPAC) may impair right ventricular (RV) function in patients with functional single right ventricles. Modification of the RVPAC using a ring-reinforced end with dunked insertion into the RV through a limited ventriculotomy may reduce the impact on RV function. We compared RV segmental strain between patients with a traditional RVPAC and ring-reinforced RVPAC using feature tracking cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. Methods: Patients with CMR examinations after Stage I operation with RVPAC between 2000 and 2018 were reviewed. Ventricular mass, volumes, late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), and peak radial and circumferential strain of… More >
