Summary

This Special Issue aims to explore the role of cognitive and metacognitive processes in the promotion of mental health and psychological well-being, with a particular emphasis on preventive approaches and protective factors across the lifespan. The issue seeks to bring together theoretical contributions and empirical studies examining how critical thinking, emotional regulation, resilience, and adaptive coping strategies can support mental health promotion in educational, community, and applied settings.
