    Abstract Void nucleation is of great significance in understanding ductile fracture of many important engineering materials. Recent experiments have shown that voids are nucleated via vacancy condensation and dislocation boundaries are the main nucleation sites. However, it is still unclear what role is played exactly by dislocation boundaries in promoting void nucleation and what kind of defect configuration is involved. Here we propose a new mechanism for dislocation boundary-induced void nucleation and develop accordingly a vacancy condensation model based on the classical nucleation theory.     Abstract The treatment of wheat straw is very difficult, and its utilization rate is very low; accumulation causes air pollution and even fire. To make full use of wheat straw resources, we examined how using different physical and chemical methods to treat the wheat straw which can improve its strength abilities, or enhance the activity of wheat straw ash. In terms of concrete additives, it can reduce the amount of cement used.     Abstract In this article, the heat, momentum and mass (species) transfer in external boundary layer flow of Casson nanofluid from an isothermal sphere surface is studied theoretically. The effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis are incorporated in the model in the presence of both heat and nanoparticle mass transfer. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are transformed into highly nonlinear, coupled, multi-degree non-similar partial differential equations consisting of the momentum, energy and concentration equations via appropriate non-similarity transformations.     Abstract Zinc alpha 2 glycoprotein (ZAG) is a 41 KDa secretory soluble glycoprotein found in different body fluids like the serum, saliva, sweat, breast milk, and urine. It is also found in tissues like the testis, epididymis, kidney, spleen, liver, lungs, heart, and brain. ZAG is an adipokine with multiple roles, including lipid mobilization, modulating glucose metabolisms, improving insulin sensitivity, inhibiting tumor proliferation through RNAse activity, and suppressing inflammation.     Abstract To achieve optimal recovery and value-added utilisation of cellulose in peanut shells, the cellulose in peanut shells was first extracted using the sodium hydroxide-sodium chlorite method. Then, cellulose hydrogel was prepared by graft copolymerisation using N, N’-methylenebisacrylamide as the cross-linking agent, sodium persulfate as the initiator, and acrylic acid as the monomer.
