Junaid Khan, Rashid Ali, Muzammil Zubair, Syed Mohd Yahya*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.2, pp. 827-846, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.016344

Abstract Cooling the PV surface in a Photovoltaic Thermal system is a pivotal operational aspect to be taken into account to achieve optimized values of performance parameters in a Photovoltaic Thermal System. The experimental design used in this study facilitates the flow of varying concentrations of Zn-water nanofluid in serpentine copper tubing installed at the rear of the PV panel thereby preventing the PV surface temperature from increasing beyond the threshold value at which a decrease in electrical efficiency starts to occur. This fusion of solar thermal with PV devices leads to better electrical and thermal efficiency values resulting in decreased… More >

Wuqin Tang, Qiang Yang, Wenjun Yan*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.130, No.3, pp. 1423-1439, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.018313

Abstract Defects detection with Electroluminescence (EL) image for photovoltaic (PV) module has become a standard test procedure during the process of production, installation, and operation of solar modules. There are some typical defects types, such as crack, finger interruption, that can be recognized with high accuracy. However, due to the complexity of EL images and the limitation of the dataset, it is hard to label all types of defects during the inspection process. The unknown or unlabeled create significant difficulties in the practical application of the automatic defects detection technique. To address the problem, we proposed an evolutionary algorithm combined with… More >

Fuzzy Based MPPT and Solar Power Forecasting Using Artificial Intelligence

    G. Geethamahalakshmi1,*, N. Kalaiarasi2, D. Nageswari1

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.3, pp. 1667-1685, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022728

Abstract Solar energy is the radiant heat and light energy harvested by ultra violet rays to convert into electrical Direct Current (DC). The solar energy stood ahead of other renewable energy as it can produce a constant level of alternating current over the year with minimal harmonic distortions. The renewable energy attracts the energy harvesters as there is rise of deficiency of carbon and reduction of efficiency in thermal energy generation. The concerns associated with the solar power generation are the fluctuation in the generated direct current due to the displacement of sun and deviation in the quantity of solar rays… More >

    M. P. Viswanathan*, B. Anand

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.1, pp. 165-181, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020400

Abstract In this research work, single-stage fifteen levels cascaded DC-interface converter (CDDCLC) is proposed for sun arranged photovoltaic technology (PV) applications. The proposed geography is joined with help DC chopper and H-associate inverter to upgrade the power converter to accomplish the diminished harmonic profile. In assessment with the customary inverter structures, the proposed system is used with diminished voltage stress, decreased switch count and DC source tally. The proposed research work with cascaded DC link converter design requires three DC sources for combining fifteen-level AC output. This investigation structure switching technique is phase opposition and disposition pulse width modulation technique (POPD)… More >
