    Muhammad Riaz1, Masooma Raza Hashmi1, Dragan Pamucar2, Yuming Chu3,4,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.3, pp. 1125-1164, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.013699

Abstract The existing concepts of picture fuzzy sets (PFS), spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs), T-spherical fuzzy sets (T-SFSs) and neutrosophic sets (NSs) have numerous applications in decision-making problems, but they have various strict limitations for their satisfaction, dissatisfaction, abstain or refusal grades. To relax these strict constraints, we introduce the concept of spherical linear Diophantine fuzzy sets (SLDFSs) with the inclusion of reference or control parameters. A SLDFS with parameterizations process is very helpful for modeling uncertainties in the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) process. SLDFSs can classify a physical system with the help of reference parameters. We discuss various real-life applications of… More >

Power Aggregation Operators and Similarity Measures Based on Improved Intuitionistic Hesitant Fuzzy Sets and their Applications to Multiple Attribute Decision Making

    Tahir Mahmood1, Wajid Ali1, Zeeshan Ali1, Ronnason Chinram2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.3, pp. 1165-1187, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.014393

Abstract Intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set (IHFS) is a mixture of two separated notions called intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) and hesitant fuzzy set (HFS), as an important technique to cope with uncertain and awkward information in realistic decision issues. IHFS contains the grades of truth and falsity in the form of the subset of the unit interval. The notion of IHFS was defined by many scholars with different conditions, which contain several weaknesses. Here, keeping in view the problems of already defined IHFSs, we will define IHFS in another way so that it becomes compatible with other existing notions. To examine the… More >

    Shan Chun1, Xiaolong Chen2, Guoqiang Deng3,*, Hao Liu4

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.3, pp. 1203-1216, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.012230

Abstract The important issues of network TCP congestion control are how to compute the link price according to the link status and regulate the data sending rate based on link congestion pricing feedback information. However, it is difficult to predict the congestion state of the link-end accurately at the source. In this paper, we presented an improved NUMFabric algorithm for calculating the overall congestion price. In the proposed scheme, the whole network structure had been obtained by the central control server in the Software Defined Network, and a kind of dual-hierarchy algorithm for calculating overall network congestion price had been demonstrated.… More >

Stress Relaxation and Sensitivity Weight for Bi-Directional Evolutionary Structural Optimization to Improve the Computational Efficiency and Stabilization on Stress-Based Topology Optimization

Chao Ma, Yunkai Gao*, Yuexing Duan, Zhe Liu

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.2, pp. 715-738, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.011187

Abstract Stress-based topology optimization is one of the most concerns of structural optimization and receives much attention in a wide range of engineering designs. To solve the inherent issues of stress-based topology optimization, many schemes are added to the conventional bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization (BESO) method in the previous studies. However, these schemes degrade the generality of BESO and increase the computational cost. This study proposes an improved topology optimization method for the continuum structures considering stress minimization in the framework of the conventional BESO method. A global stress measure constructed by p-norm function is treated as the objective function. To… More >

Survey and Analysis of VoIP Frame Aggregation Methods over A-MSDU IEEE 802.11n Wireless Networks

    Mosleh M. Abualhaj1,*, Abdelrahman H. Hussein1, Manjur Kolhar2, Mwaffaq Abu AlHija1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.2, pp. 1283-1300, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012991

Abstract The IEEE 802.11n standard has provided prominent features that greatly contribute to ubiquitous wireless networks. Over the last ten years, voice over IP (VoIP) has become widespread around the globe owing to its low-cost or even free call rate. The combination of these technologies (VoIP and wireless) has become desirable and inevitable for organizations. However, VoIP faces a bandwidth utilization issue when working with 802.11 wireless networks. The bandwidth utilization is inefficient on the grounds that (i) 80 bytes of 802.11/RTP/UDP/IP header is appended to 10–730 bytes of VoIP payload and (ii) 765 µs waiting intervals follow each 802.11 VoIP… More >

An Efficient Supervised Energy Disaggregation Scheme for Power Service in Smart Grid

Weilie Liu, Jialing He, Meng Li, Rui Jin, Jingjing Hu, Zijian Zhang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.3, pp. 585-593, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000113

Abstract Smart energy disaggregation is receiving increasing attention because it can be used to save energy and mine consumer's electricity privacy by decomposing aggregated meter readings. Many smart energy disaggregation schemes have been proposed; however, the accuracy and efficiency of these methods need to be improved. In this work, we consider a supervised energy disaggregation method which initially learns the power consumption of each appliance and then disaggregates meter readings using the previous learning result. In this study, we improved the fast search and find of density peaks clustering algorithm to cluster appliance power signals twice to learn appliance feature matrices.… More >

Embedding Implicit User Importance for Group Recommendation

    Qing Yang1, Shengjie Zhou1, Heyong Li1, Jingwei Zhang2, 3, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.3, pp. 1691-1704, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.010256

Abstract Group recommendations derive from a phenomenon in which people tend to participate in activities together regardless of whether they are online or in reality, which creates real scenarios and promotes the development of group recommendation systems. Different from traditional personalized recommendation methods, which are concerned only with the accuracy of recommendations for individuals, group recommendation is expected to balance the needs of multiple users. Building a proper model for a group of users to improve the quality of a recommended list and to achieve a better recommendation has become a large challenge for group recommendation applications. Existing studies often focus… More >

Extracting Sub-Networks from Brain Functional Network Using Graph Regularized Nonnegative Matrix Factorization

    Zhuqing Jiao1, *, Yixin Ji1, Tingxuan Jiao1, Shuihua Wang2, *

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.123, No.2, pp. 845-871, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.08999

Abstract Currently, functional connectomes constructed from neuroimaging data have emerged as a powerful tool in identifying brain disorders. If one brain disease just manifests as some cognitive dysfunction, it means that the disease may affect some local connectivity in the brain functional network. That is, there are functional abnormalities in the sub-network. Therefore, it is crucial to accurately identify them in pathological diagnosis. To solve these problems, we proposed a sub-network extraction method based on graph regularization nonnegative matrix factorization (GNMF). The dynamic functional networks of normal subjects and early mild cognitive impairment (eMCI) subjects were vectorized and the functional connection… More >

A Differentially Private Data Aggregation Method Based on Worker Partition and Location Obfuscation for Mobile Crowdsensing

    Shuyu Li1, Guozheng Zhang1, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.1, pp. 223-241, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.07499

Abstract With the popularity of sensor-rich mobile devices, mobile crowdsensing (MCS) has emerged as an effective method for data collection and processing. However, MCS platform usually need workers’ precise locations for optimal task execution and collect sensing data from workers, which raises severe concerns of privacy leakage. Trying to preserve workers’ location and sensing data from the untrusted MCS platform, a differentially private data aggregation method based on worker partition and location obfuscation (DP-DAWL method) is proposed in the paper. DP-DAWL method firstly use an improved K-means algorithm to divide workers into groups and assign different privacy budget to the group… More >

The Dependence of Diffusio-Phoretic Mobility and Aggregation Properties of Proteins on Intermolecular Interaction in Confined System

    Jiachen Wei1,2,*

    Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics, Vol.16, Suppl.2, pp. 103-104, 2019, DOI:10.32604/mcb.2019.07721

Abstract Phoretic flow can be generated by different types of gradient (e.g. temperature, concentration, or charge gradient) [1-3]. Within micro-to-nano confined system, the diffusio-phoretic property for proteins differs dramatically from that obtained in bulk condition, due to concentration fluctuation that emerges at microscopic level induced by specific and nonspecific interactions between protein and co-solute [4-5]. The phoretic mobility of protein individuals and complex in solute gradients can be theoretically described by continuum model [1-2] that neglects microscopic heterogeneity and determined experimentally by microfluidics [6], but the underlying mechanism of diffusio-phoretic motion for confined protein still remains unclear.
