Summary

The global energy landscape is fundamentally transforming as traditional grids evolve into Next-Generation Power Systems. Driven by the massive integration of high-penetration renewables, power electronics, and distributed energy resources, this paradigm shift introduces multi-dimensional uncertainties that demand a rigorous re-evaluation of system stability, operational flexibility, and economic efficiency.


To successfully navigate this transition, this Special Issue provides a premier academic platform for sharing groundbreaking theories and practical innovations. We seek interdisciplinary contributions addressing the systemic challenges of future grids. We invite original research and comprehensive reviews on:
· Electricity Markets: Multi-timescale trading and energy-carbon synergy.
· Energy Storage: Long-duration systems and inertia support.
· Emerging Generation: Green hydrogen, ammonia, and flexible CCUS plants.
· New Paradigms: Microgrids, VPPs, and Source-Grid-Load-Storage" integration.
· Large-Scale Renewables: Grid-forming control and massive offshore wind integration.
· Frontier Grid Technologies: HVDC, FACTS, and resilient, self-healing architectures.
· Advanced Analytics: Digital twins, physics-informed AI, and cyber-physical security.
