Boost and Flow in Diesel Engine

The performance optimization of diesel engines and other power machinery is directly related to fluid flow phenomena and control. Research on fluid flow laws and system optimization design of intake and exhaust system, oil-gas mixture and collaborative control, and advanced air management system will further promote the development of diesel engines towards clean, efficient and high-power direction. This special issue aims to highlight recent advances in flow analysis and system optimization of diesel engine gas system, and theoretical, numerical and experimental research on any science and engineering problems are all welcome. Original and review articles on diesel engine gas system are both encouraged, including but not limited to the following potential topics: 

• Fluid flow phenomena and laws;

• Structural optimization of intake and exhaust system;

• Advanced supercharging system;

• Control strategy and method of complex gas system.
