Prescribed Performance Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Multi-Agent Coordination and Its Application in Microgrids

Abstract

This paper addresses the H consensus problem for a network of distributed energy resources (DERs) subject to edge-based communication disturbances. Prescribed performance control is adopted to improve the convergence and robustness of phase synchronization of DERs in a microgrid. Unlike traditional consensus control approaches, we consider DERs in microgrids that are subject to communication disturbances—a common issue in the monitoring and coordination of such systems. To this end, we propose a prescribed performance control protocol that incorporates error transformation techniques and prescribed performance constraints. By utilizing Lyapunov stability theory, we demonstrate that H consensus of the DERs is achieved with prescribed performance, which effectively suppresses communication disturbances. Finally, simulation results verify the feasibility and validity of the theoretical findings.
