Summary

With the increasing concerns about climate change and the finite nature of fossil fuels, it is of utmost importance to focus on renewable energy conversion and storage. As the demand for clean and sustainable energy sources continues to rise, a wide range of innovative technologies and materials for renewable energy conversion and storage have been developed in recent years. These include solar - to - electrical conversion, wind energy conversion, hydrogen production and storage, and advanced battery systems for energy storage. These technologies/materials can not only meet the growing energy demand but also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate environmental impacts, and drive the transition towards a more sustainable energy future.


The purpose of this Special Issue is to showcase and spread the latest breakthroughs related to theoretical exploration, synthesis, characterization, and practical implementation of various renewable energy conversion and storage technologies/materials.


Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Advanced solar cell design and efficiency improvement
· Wind turbine technology innovation and optimization
· Hydrogen production via water splitting and related electrocatalysts
· Fuel cell development and application
· Thermal energy storage systems
· Lithium - ion battery advancements and next - generation battery technologies
· Biomass - based renewable energy conversion
· Energy management and control strategies for renewable energy systems
· Other emerging renewable energy conversion and storage technologies/materials
