Summary
Photovoltaic (PV) technology has emerged as a leading solution for sustainable energy generation, offering a clean, scalable, and increasingly cost-competitive alternative to fossil fuels. Rapid advances in materials science, manufacturing processes, and system integration are driving significant improvements in PV efficiency, reliability, and adaptability across diverse environments. This Special Issue aims to gather high-quality research articles, reviews, and case studies that explore cutting-edge developments in photovoltaic technology and its applications. Topics will cover innovations in solar cell materials, advances in characterization techniques, performance optimization strategies, hybrid energy systems, and the integration of PV into smart grids and energy storage frameworks.
By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue between researchers, engineers, and industry professionals, this Special Issue will highlight both emerging opportunities and ongoing challenges in PV deployment worldwide. We welcome contributions addressing experimental, theoretical, modeling, and policy aspects to support the global transition toward renewable energy.
