Summary

The 14th International Conference on Software Process Improvement (CIMPS 2025) will be held in Lima, Perú, Oct. 15–17, 2025. It covers a wide range of fields in software engineering trends and aims to bring together expertise and researchers. since its first edition 2012, It brings together the academic, government, and industrial sectors to promote the comprehensive development of a culture of innovation and competitiveness in organizations dedicated to and/or using software development solutions. Since its inception, the philosophy of this conference has been to open its doors to all members of society directly involved in the use of information and communication technologies. This philosophy is further enhanced by the fact that the triple helix of academia, government, and industry come together during the conference's activities.

The main goal of this Special Issue, "Selected Papers from the 14th International Conference on Software Process Improvement (CIMPS 2025)", is to present the latest advances in research and novel applications on software engineering topics within software development, allowing you to share advances, research or practical cases related to this area. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
