Summary

Mobile equipment and applications dominate access to Social Media platforms, profoundly shaping user behavior and generating unique data characteristics. Effectively analyzing the mobile Social Media data implies advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques specifically adapted to the unique opportunities and constraints of this environment.


This Special Issue targets the critical intersection of Advanced NLP, Social Media analysis, and mobile context. The Special Issue seeks high-quality research and systematic reviews on advanced NLP approaches (including Neural Networks and Deep Learning), algorithms, and their applications tailored for the particularities of mobile Social Media data, novel applications leveraging unique mobile capabilities (such as location, context-awareness), and innovative studies using NLP to understand or enhance mobile Social Media User Experience (UX). The aim is to gather original research tackling the areas of NLP, Mobile Computing, and Human-Computer Interaction to share cutting-edge findings on advanced algorithms, innovative applications, and UX studies, advancing the research on the understanding of Social Media in its predominant mobile form.
