Research Interests: complex networks and communication dynamics; Intelligent decision-making and nonlinear complex systems

Complex networks have become a fundamental paradigm for modeling and analyzing interconnected systems in modern science and engineering. With the rapid development of information technologies, large-scale networked systems—such as communication networks, cyber–physical systems, social networks, Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructures, and data-driven platforms—are becoming increasingly complex and dynamic. These systems typically exhibit nonlinear interactions, heterogeneous structures, and evolving topologies, which pose significant challenges for understanding their dynamic behavior and designing effective control and optimization strategies.
Recent advances in artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and high-performance computing have opened new opportunities for studying complex networked systems from a computational perspective. In particular, integrating data-driven techniques with dynamical system modeling provides powerful tools for analyzing network dynamics, predicting system behavior, and supporting intelligent decision-making. These developments are highly relevant to the research scope of Computers, Materials & Continua, which focuses on computational methods, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and engineering applications in modern technological systems.
The aim of this Special Issue is to present recent theoretical advances, computational methods, and practical applications related to the dynamics, control, and optimization of complex networks. We particularly welcome interdisciplinary contributions that combine mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, data-driven methods, and computational techniques to address challenging problems in large-scale interconnected systems.
