Summary

Audio, image, and video processing are very important tools involved in the solution of many existing problems in many fields of science and engineering, which are essential for many systems requiring efficient image denoising, enhancement, and restoration.  The huge amount of audio, speech, and image data requires efficient data compression and encryption algorithms, image analysis, audio authentication, pattern recognition, among others.  The development of such algorithms has been possible due to the impressive advancement of computer technology.

The special issue aims to explore the recent advances in digital audio, signal, and video processing algorithms and their wide range of applications.  This issue intends to gather a set of contributions by experts, becoming a valuable reference for researchers working in such fields.
