Summary

With the explosion of digital content across multimedia platforms, ensuring copyright protection, authentication, and integrity verification has become increasingly critical. Digital watermarking has emerged as a key technology in safeguarding digital assets by embedding imperceptible yet robust information into various media types including images, videos, audio, and documents.

This special issue aims to present the latest advances in digital watermarking techniques and their wide-ranging applications across cybersecurity, digital rights management, medical imaging, forensic analysis, and content authentication. It will serve as a platform for researchers and practitioners to showcase innovative methods, theoretical foundations, performance evaluations, and novel use cases.

We invite original research papers, comprehensive reviews, and implementation case studies that contribute to the development and deployment of watermarking technologies in both academic and industrial contexts.

Scope of the Special Issue includes, but is not limited to:
· Robust and imperceptible watermarking algorithms
· Reversible and fragile watermarking techniques
· AI- and deep learning-based watermarking methods
· Watermarking in compressed and encrypted domains
· Tamper detection and content authentication
· Watermarking for medical and biometric data
· Forensic watermarking and copyright protection
· Watermarking in IoT, blockchain, and cloud environments
· Benchmarking and performance evaluation metrics
· Attacks on watermarking systems and countermeasures
