Summary

The increasing connectivity of modern digital infrastructures, including cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-physical systems, and distributed intelligent environments, has significantly expanded the cybersecurity attack surface. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) have become essential components for identifying malicious activities, preventing cyber threats, and improving the resilience of intelligent systems.

This Special Issue aims to explore recent advances, innovative methodologies, and practical applications in intrusion detection and intelligent cybersecurity systems. The issue focuses on AI-driven, scalable, adaptive, and trustworthy approaches for detecting cyber threats in heterogeneous and distributed environments. Contributions addressing theoretical models, real-world applications, and emerging cybersecurity challenges are particularly welcome.
