The rapid progress of quantum computing has created both new opportunities and serious challenges for modern cybersecurity. Quantum cryptography offers physically grounded mechanisms for secure communication, while post-quantum cryptography provides practical algorithmic solutions to protect classical digital infrastructures against future quantum attacks.
This Special Issue aims to present recent advances in quantum cryptography and post-quantum cryptography, with a particular focus on secure communication, quantum-safe protocols, cryptographic algorithms, implementation security, and emerging applications. It welcomes original research and high-quality review articles addressing theoretical foundations, protocol design, security analysis, practical deployment, performance evaluation, and interdisciplinary applications. The issue seeks to provide a timely forum for researchers working on quantum-enabled security and quantum-resistant cryptographic systems, especially in areas related to cybersecurity, computer networks, Internet of Things, cloud computing, blockchain, and critical information infrastructures.
Suggested Themes:
· Quantum key distribution and quantum secure communication protocols
· Semi-quantum and lightweight quantum cryptographic protocols
· Post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, implementation, and cryptanalysis
· Hybrid quantum and post-quantum security architectures
· Quantum-safe authentication, key management, and secure network protocols
· Security analysis, side-channel attacks, and formal verification
· Applications in IoT, cloud computing, blockchain, healthcare, and cyber-physical systems
