As AI, smart media, and digital services increasingly converge, this research area is becoming central to innovation across communication, engineering, and human-centered applications. This Special Issue addresses the growing need for intelligent media technologies that enable adaptive, interactive, and socially impactful solutions.
This Special Issue aims to present high-quality research on emerging theories, methods, and applications in smart media and AI-driven systems. It welcomes extended versions of outstanding papers from SMA 2026, as well as related contributions that advance intelligent media technologies, computer science applications, and interdisciplinary innovation. The scope includes algorithmic, design, engineering, and user-centered perspectives, with particular interest in work demonstrating practical impact, scalability, and digital convergence across media, platforms, and industries.
