Summary

As big data and digital connectivity continue to reshape information ecosystems, combining Social Network Analysis (SNA) with semantic text mining has become essential for understanding complex relationships and domain-specific knowledge flows. Recent advances in artificial intelligence—particularly Graph Neural Networks, Large Language Models, and context-aware computing—allow researchers to track shifting social structures, user behaviors, and evolving textual semantics, offering actionable insights for real-world decision-making.

This special issue focuses on current developments at the intersection of Social Network Analysis, semantic models, and text intelligence. We welcome high-quality submissions on novel algorithms and practical applications that leverage machine learning, context sensing, and network analytics to examine relational dynamics, knowledge graphs, and semantic evolution.

Recommended themes for this special issue include, but are not limited to:
· Machine learning and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for Social Network Analysis
· Large Language Models (LLMs) and semantic text mining in network contexts
· Semantic network modeling, knowledge graphs, and textual entailment
· Semantic drift, language evolution, and domain-specific text analytics
· Sentiment analysis, opinion mining, and information diffusion
· Context-aware and location-based social networks (LBSN)
· Security, privacy preservation, and misbehavior detection in social networks
