Summary
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains one of the most rapidly evolving fields in oncology, driven by advances in immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and biomarker research. Despite significant improvements in patient outcomes, substantial challenges remain in identifying predictive and prognostic biomarkers, understanding mechanisms of treatment response and resistance, and optimizing patient selection for emerging therapeutic strategies.
This Special Issue aims to highlight recent advances in biomarkers, immunotherapy, and precision treatment approaches in RCC. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and translational studies addressing molecular and immune biomarkers, tumor microenvironment characterization, mechanisms of therapeutic response and resistance, novel immunotherapeutic and targeted treatment strategies, as well as integrative genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic, and other omics-based approaches with potential clinical relevance. Particular emphasis will be placed on studies that improve biological understanding of RCC and support the development of personalized treatment strategies.
